About the job

Becoming part of our strong community – and making a difference for the complex elderly patient

At the Department of Geriatric Diseases inpatient ward, we are looking for an engaged social- and healthcare assistant who is passionate about person-centered care and wishes for a workday with high professionalism, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful patient journeys.

The position is 37 hours with mixed shifts and flexible options for either 4 or 6 weekend shifts in a 12-week rotation, plus a choice between 8- or 12-hour shifts. We place great emphasis on employee influence, and you will therefore have the opportunity to shape your own work schedule in close dialogue with the head nurse and our scheduling team.

About us – high professionalism and the patient at the center

The Department of Geriatric Diseases inpatient ward is a specialized ward with 27 beds distributed over two levels. We receive elderly patients with complex and often multi-faceted disease courses, where there is a need for both professional expertise and a holistic view of each individual.

We work in strong interdisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nurses, social- and healthcare assistants, therapists and dietitians. Together we create coherent patient pathways with a focus on quality, rehabilitation and safe discharge.

Our practice is based on Fundamentals of Care , where the relationship with the patient is the starting point for care and treatment. We meet the patients with respect, dignity and a high professional standard.

Each day we gather for board meetings where we coordinate, share knowledge and ensure the best possible patient journeys.

What can you look forward to?

With us you become part of a workplace that prioritizes both professional development and well-being:
