About the job

Would you like to help create safety and care – also at night – during a special time for our nursing home?

We are seeking an engaged and caring social- and health care assistant for a permanent night shift at Sandmarksbo nursing home as soon as possible.

We are in a special situation, as the nursing home is being phased out and will eventually close. This means that we are in a period of change, where our most important task remains to ensure residents experience safety, presence and a dignified daily life – all the way up to the closure.

We therefore seek an employee who can see the meaning in making a difference for our residents and contribute to a stable and caring everyday life during a transitional period.

Your most important task

As a night shift worker you help ensure that residents can feel safe and well assisted through the night. You work with respect for each resident's needs, routines and wishes and help create calm and continuity during the night hours.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

  • Provide personal care and support based on the individual resident's needs.
  • Create safety and presence for the residents through the night.
  • Observe changes in residents' condition and act accordingly.
  • Document care and observations in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and ensure a good handover between shifts.
  • Contribute to a good working environment and a respectful tone – also during a period characterized by change.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are trained as a social- and health care assistant.
  • Thrive working at night and can work independently and responsibly.
  • Meet residents, relatives and colleagues with care, respect and friendliness.
  • Are calm and present and can maintain an overview when unforeseen situations arise.
  • Are flexible and constructive and can contribute positively in an organization undergoing change.
  • Would like to help ensure residents a safe and dignified time until the nursing home closes.

It is important for us that you can see the value in the task we face, and that you meet both residents and colleagues with an understanding that change can fill daily life.

What can we offer you?

With us you will have the opportunity to become part of a workplace where care, professionalism and respect for the individual person are at the center.

We offer

  • A meaningful job where your contribution has a great impact on the residents' safety and well-being.
  • A collaboration with dedicated colleagues who are working for a common task.
  • A workplace where we prioritize integrity, dialogue and care – also in a period of changes.
  • Possibility of redeployment to another workplace in the municipality when the nursing home closes, depending on the concrete opportunities and the municipality's needs.

A workplace in change – with an eye to the future

The nursing home is being phased out and will eventually close. We are therefore open about the fact that the position is tied to a workplace that is gradually being phased out.

At the same time we want to create good and proper frameworks for our employees. There will therefore be focus on dialogue about the future, and there may be an opportunity for redeployment to another workplace in the municipality in connection with the closure.

Our main task is to ensure that residents experience safety, care and dignity throughout the period, and that employees experience a proper process with respect for their situation.

Terms of employment

Wage and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement and local pay.

The position is 28 hours per week on a fixed night shift and with immediate start.

Application deadline

We must receive your application no later than 10 November 2026. Do not wait to send your application. We will continuously invite qualified applicants for interviews.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the nursing home manager Lisbet Kristensen on mobile 28792545 / email: [email protected] or assistant nursing home manager Gitte Haraszuk mobile 20596986 / email: [email protected]
