Social and Health Care Assistant (SHA) or nurse wanted (approx. 32-37 hours per week)

Sophiagård Elmehøjen is a residence and workplace for 24 intellectually disabled young people and adults, located in scenic surroundings in Ølsted on Funen. The basis for our work is Rudolf Steiner's view of humanity and we are seeking a staff member who can reflect themselves in and work from this value base.

About the position and shifts

As an SSA or nurse you will, on equal terms with the pedagogical staff, participate in the pedagogical shifts, which are a fixed part of the employment. Your shifts will consist of:

• A fixed morning shift once a week (06:30 - 09:00)
• A fixed evening shift once a week (15:30 - 21:30)
• A fixed weekend day once a month (08:30 - 21:30) and optionally a night shift
• Participation in walks and meals with residents a couple of times a week

The remaining time is dedicated to your nursing professional work. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have experience within the nursing field.

Your responsibilities and tasks

You will have the overall overview and responsibility for the nursing area. Your main tasks will among other things include:

• Ordering, dosing and administration of medicines.
• Registration, initiation and documentation of treatments in our journal system.
• Ongoing contact with our doctor regarding residents' treatment, and planning of doctor's visits.
• Follow-up on treatment effects in collaboration with the staff group.
• Handling of and follow-up on adverse events (AEs).
• Training of the staff group in medication handling and use of instructions.
• Overview and guidance in everything related to diabetes.
• Professional sparring and availability for colleagues regarding signs of illness or residents' general health.
• Work with naturopathy
