Social and Health Care Assistant Apprentice Wanted for Herlev Municipality

Herlev Municipality trains social- and health care assistant apprentices, and we are therefore seeking 8 apprentices to start the training in January 2027.

The program begins on 25 January 2027 if you have Grundforløb 2, and on 9 August 2027 if you are trained as a social- and health care assistant.

About the education

As a social- and health care assistant apprentice, you alternate between school and on-the-job training. You are guaranteed an apprenticeship position in all three training periods, in a municipality, in psychiatry, and at a hospital. Throughout the training you will be in contact with your education consultant.

Education requirements

As a rule, you must have Grundforløb 2 or be in the process of Grundforløb 2 that is oriented towards the social and health care education. To begin this education, you must enter into an educational contract with Herlev Municipality. We collaborate with the social and health school SOSU H in Herlev, Gladsaxe and Brøndby. Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement. An apprentice wage is paid throughout the training.

If you want an adult wage, you must be able to document the following

• You must be at least 25 years old when the apprenticeship contract is entered into and
• You must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience within the last 4 years at the time the apprenticeship contract is signed, which corresponds to 1,248 hours.

A criminal record and child protection clearance will be obtained for employees employed in Herlev Municipality.

Herlev Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
