Your day

As a social pedagogue at the Castle you will, among other things

• Support residents in creating structure and a meaningful life in their daily days
• Participate in individual and collective activities
• Work relationship-building and development-oriented
• Support residents in handling daily challenges
• Contribute to a high professional quality in the documentation work
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and other professional groups

At the Castle we are an interdisciplinary team consisting of, among others, social pedagogues, social workers, social- and health care assistants, pedagogical assistants and care helpers.

Working hours and practical conditions

There are rotating shifts, including day, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts between 06:45 and 23:00.

We primarily work in two-shift rotations with shift changes at 14:30.

Working hours are planned in a 4-week rotation, and you can expect about 16-17 shifts per month.

We strive for as much mutual flexibility as possible and involve employees in planning the working hours.

In addition, we expect that you

• Can work with documentation on a PC
• Have a driver's license
• A police clearance certificate will be obtained

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.

The Region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally determined allowances and pension in https://www.okportal.dk/media/3qzfrimd/32381.pdf . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

A brief about Østruplund

Østruplund is part of Special Center Southern Denmark under the Region of Southern Denmark.

We are a highly specialized residential facility with a focus on care, rehabilitation and development. We work with individually tailored housing and activity offers for adults with developmental disabilities.

Østruplund is located in scenic surroundings in the village of Østrup near Otterup on Nordfyn, a 10-minute drive from Odense.

There are 34 residents at the facility, distributed across three departments, of which 10 residents are in the Castle. In addition we have activity and social opportunities, and about 100 staff across the organisation.

The Castle is a §108 residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities. Some residents may have criminal convictions and complex support needs.

Our approach is appreciative and development-oriented. We work purposefully to strengthen residents' physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills with a view to the greatest possible quality of life, independence and participation in communities.
