About the job

Are you eager to work with people who are mentally struggling? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for?

Your everyday life and tasks

As a social educator you will become part of the regular staffing. This means that you will be a contact person and responsible for selected patient pathways. This will take place in close multidisciplinary collaboration. In addition to relationship work, there will also be practical tasks in the position as part of the operation in an intensive ward.

You will become an active part of the ongoing various activities we offer as part of the ward's environmental-therapeutic offerings and the coercion-prevention efforts.

Who are we on Ward 2422?

We work with issues such as self-harm and aggressive behavior. Therefore, it is advantageous to have experience in these areas. The staff on the ward have experience and knowledge in the field and are professionally competent to handle complex patient pathways. We are a dynamic multidisciplinary staff group with high professional and social engagement. We have a positive tone and prioritize being available and visible in the common environment.

A focus on collaboration and professional development

You will become part of a team that prioritizes collaboration highly and helps each other with tasks – big and small. We focus on safety, professionalism and competence development and everyone contributes to each other's development and well-being. We prioritize time for professional discussions in everyday work and have a strong focus on professional sparring and development.

We therefore offer

  • Daily Timeouts
  • Weekly sparring and cognitive supervision
  • 2 annual development days for the entire staff group
  • Relevant course activities which, based on your wishes for professional development, can become part of your development plan

We will make sure you are well prepared

We tailor your introduction according to your wishes, competences and experience, and ensure you get a good introduction to the patient group, ward processes and workflows and your new colleagues.

From the first day of work you will be attached to our mentoring scheme, so you continuously have someone to discuss everything from systems and workflows to patient- and treatment challenges with. In addition, we will introduce you to the ward's framework, including Recovery, Safewards and cognitive behavioral therapy.

If you are willing and excited to participate in supporting our multidisciplinary treatment offerings, we are ready to warmly welcome you.

Our expectations

We expect you to be a trained social educator and have experience within the psychiatric specialty. With your professional background you can work with the complexity in the psychiatric field and find pedagogical methods that are tailored to the individual patient needs.

It is essential that you can apply your pedagogical background to, through activities, form secure relationships with the patients that are aligned with each individual problem, needs and resources.

You can collaborate with many different professional groups, and you are keen to participate in the team-based care and treatment in the ward.

You are interested in relational work and have the willingness and courage to initiate activities together with the patients. You can use the environment, surroundings and the opportunities they offer.

You are communicatively aware and able to maintain an overview in a sometimes busy daily life. You are curious about work related to preventing and reducing conflicts and coercion.

Salary and terms

The position is 37 hours per week in mixed shifts. Weekend work every 2nd weekend is to be expected.

We expect you to start on January 1, 2027 or as agreed.

You will be employed in accordance with the collective agreement for social pedagogical staff at 24-hour institutions. You are under the employment covered by the current working time agreement concluded between the Regions' Payroll and Rates Board and the Danish Association of Social Educators.

The ward is staffed around the clock, and you will therefore be scheduled with mixed shifts in accordance with the rules in the applicable working time agreement in the collective bargaining agreement.
