About the job

Would you like to work with people who are facing mental health challenges? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for?

Your everyday life and tasks

As a social pedagogue you will become part of the normalization process. That means you will be a contact person and responsible for selected patient pathways. It will take place in close interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to relationship work there will also be practical tasks in the position, as part of the operations in an intensive ward.

You will become an active part of the various activities we offer as part of the ward's environmental-therapeutic offerings and the coercion-prevention efforts.

Who are we on Ward 2422?

We work with issues such as self-harm and aggressive behavior. Therefore it is an advantage to have experience in these areas. The staff on the ward has experience and knowledge in the field and is professionally competent to handle complex patient pathways. We are a dynamic multidisciplinary staff group, with high professional and social commitment. We have a positive tone and prioritize being available and visible in the common environment.

A focus on collaboration and professional development

You will become part of a team that prioritizes collaboration highly and helps each other with tasks – big and small. We focus on safety, professionalism and competence development and we all contribute to each other's development and well-being. We prioritize time for professional discussions in daily life and have a strong focus on professional sparring and development.

We therefore offer

  • Daily Timeouts
  • Weekly sparring and cognitive supervision
  • 2 annual development days for the entire staff group
  • Relevant course activities which, based on your wishes for professional development, can become part of your development plan

We make sure you are well prepared

We tailor your introduction according to your wishes, competences and experience, and ensure you get a good introduction to the patient group, the ward's processes and workflows and your new colleagues.

From the first day of work you will be linked to our mentoring scheme, so you continuously have someone to spar with about everything from systems and workflows to patient and treatment challenges. In addition, we ensure to introduce you to the ward's reference framework, including Recovery, Safewards and cognitive behavioral therapy.

If you are willing and eager to contribute to supporting our interdisciplinary treatment offerings, we are ready to welcome you.

Our expectations

We envision that you are educated as a social pedagogue, and have experience within the psychiatric specialty. With your professional background you can work with the complexity of the psychiatric field and find pedagogical methods tailored to the individual patient's needs.

It is essential that you can use your pedagogical background to, through activities, form secure relationships with patients, aligned with the individual's problem, needs and resources.

You can collaborate with many different professional groups, and you are eager to participate in the team-based care and treatment in the ward.

You are interested in relationship work and have the desire and courage to initiate activities together with the patients. You can use the environment, surroundings and the opportunities they offer.

You are communicatively aware and able to maintain an overview in a sometimes busy daily life. You are curious about the work around preventing and reducing conflicts and coercion.

Salary and terms

The position is 37 hours per week in mixed shifts. Weekend work can be expected every 2nd weekend.

We wish that you start on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

You are employed under the collective agreement for social-pedagogical staff at 24-hour institutions. You are during employment covered by the current working time agreement entered between the Regions' Payroll and Tax Board and the Danish Association of Social Pedagogues.

The 24-hour ward is staffed around the clock, and you will therefore be scheduled with mixed shifts in accordance with the rules of the current working time agreement in the collective agreement.
