About the job

We continue to attract new youths to our 4 special places at MosaikHusene and are therefore looking for more colleagues for our newly formed team. Mosaik Husene is anchored in Faxe Social Development Center – commonly referred to as FSU.

Do you want to be part of a professionally strong team that is in the process of starting up 4 entirely special placements for young people in a house of their own? – do you want to work with presence, attentiveness and contact? – are you excited by sensory integration and movement? - do you want to have influence on daily life? - are you passionate about working with young people with special needs – youths who are at the same time challenged in their bodies in relation to reduced functions? – and do you value thorough induction and sparring? then this is where you should apply.

At FSU we believe that it matters for all people to have meaning for others and that it helps give meaning to life. We believe that everyone has resources to participate in communities that both obligate and include. Therefore we work to support the youths in opportunities to participate in meaningful communities regardless of challenge.

We place a high value on good collaboration, and this applies to both colleagues and external partners. We have many different professional backgrounds represented and interdisciplinary collaboration is at the center.

About the job

We are seeking engaged staff with professional depth and ambitions for our new 4 placements, where there are highly tuned conditions for youths with multiple handicaps. The residential facility houses a total of 12 places distributed across 3 houses for young people under and over 18 years with accompanying respite places.

Our 4 newly created placements shall house youths who share the same zest for life as our other youths; they are simply youths with a large need for support in terms of care and nursing due to their multiple impairments. These are youths whom we usually know beforehand through our STU and Activity offers – and we use these offers to get to know the youths very well. These youths have a larger portion of 1:1 support hours per day than the others.

Your tasks will include among other things

  • Individual care, nursing and support in daily life.
  • You will be trained in the youths' individual health-related challenges so you feel confident in the task.
  • Structured pedagogical work based on the individual's needs – where the use of sensory integration/sensory room is an important part of daily life (there is also thorough training here).
  • Support for personal development and independence
  • Collaboration with relatives and relevant professionals
  • Planning and implementation of activities in both individual and group-based settings
  • Documentation and development of pedagogical plans

We are looking for you who

  • Has a relevant pedagogical and/or health professional education (e.g., pedagogue, social- and health care assistant or similar) – or has experience in the field
  • Has experience with the target group and knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, cognitive impairment and multiple disabilities.
  • Is patient, listening and good at building relationships
  • Can work in a structured and independent manner, but also participate in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Has good communication skills and flair for written documentation

We offer

  • A meaningful and independent position with the possibility to make a real difference
  • A professionally strong and supportive team
  • A workplace that places high value on a good working environment
  • Ongoing supervision and competence development
  • Rotating work hours, including day/evening and weekend – currently we work every 2nd weekend, but we aim for the team around these 4 placements to have the same opportunity to work every 3rd weekend as well as 2/4 weekends as the team in the other houses in 2027.
  • Salary according to applicable collective agreement
