About the job

Are you passionate about helping people on sick leave and participants in job clarification programs back into the labor market?

We still need, as part of our new organization, a skilled social worker for handling sickness benefit and job clarification cases. Are you motivated to achieve results through close collaboration with citizens, colleagues and businesses? Then you may be our new social worker for sickness benefits and job clarification efforts at the Brøndby Employment Center in the Department of Job and Development.

What your day will look like

As our new colleague in Job and Development you will have both the desire and the flair to perform the supervisory role in sickness benefit cases and job clarification cases. Here, some of the central tasks will be to conduct individual conversations, make decisions, initiate offers, and ensure progression in the citizen's process.

You must also be conscious of bringing interdisciplinarity into play, with both internal and external colleagues – always with the aim of keeping the sick-listed person in current employment or returning to the labor market as quickly as possible. And that citizens participating in job clarification programs via an action plan return to the labor market as quickly as possible.

In addition, you should be eager to handle the administrative tasks that accompany the position, and possess good communication skills in both written and spoken form.

We focus on dialogue and cooperation as well as an efficient and result-oriented effort. We believe in the citizen and the citizen's opportunities in the labor market, through job-oriented conversations from day one.

Your tasks will include

  • You will be responsible for your own caseload of sick-listed citizens and citizens participating in job clarification programs.
  • Employment-oriented conversations based on a defined method and template
  • Employment-oriented motivation work for sick-listed citizens and citizens in job clarification programs
  • Conduct CV interviews and ABC plans
  • You conduct follow-up conversations with clear job goals and plans.
  • You have close collaboration with both internal and external partners.
  • Reassess complaints about your own decisions
  • Preparation of cases for meetings in the Flex jobs and early retirement pension board prior to recommendation for flex jobs and early retirement pension.
  • Preparation of cases for meetings in the Flex jobs and early retirement pension board prior to the citizen's application for early retirement pension on the existing basis, i.e. under the Social Pension Act § 17

About you

As a person you are empathetic, systematic and structured, and as a colleague you contribute to the community both professionally and socially. We place high value on humor, well-being and job satisfaction. Our starting point is our professional work and our shared core mission.

We expect you to be curious about your own and others' professional trajectories and we emphasize having an active sparring, learning and feedback culture, both in your own department and with the municipality's other administrations.

In addition, we envision that you

  • Are educated as a social worker/mediator or have relevant experience from a job center setting.
  • Have good collaboration skills and can motivate citizens and colleagues.
  • Are ambitious, solution- and results-oriented.
  • Are skilled in conversation techniques and writing with a focus on progression, action and legal certainty.
  • Trives in a busy environment and can maintain an overview.
  • Have solid IT experience and a high level of data discipline.
