Specialist Physician at the Center for Functional Disorders

We are seeking a specialist doctor for our team at the Center for Functional Disorders, Vejle Hospital.

The Center for Functional Disorders has regional responsibility for Region of Southern Denmark and provides outpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe functional disorders.

We are a small team consisting of doctors, a nurse, physiotherapists, a social worker, a psychologist and a secretary. In addition to the core team we have two psychologists attached as consultants here, including as part of external supervision. We have a close and productive interdisciplinary collaboration, where professionalism, supervision, collaboration, job satisfaction and not least good humor are all highly valued.

We are seeking a specialist doctor who will help lift and further develop our treatment offerings. We offer a thorough introduction to the role in the form of supervised training and close collaboration.

All our patients have a contact doctor who follows them through their course. The treatment is planned individually and may consist of patient education, an individual program with a physiotherapist, a social worker and/or a nurse, participation in caregiver events, and not least psychotherapeutic treatment in group and/or individual formats.

In addition to clinical work, we have a number of teaching activities both internally and externally. We participate in congresses at home and abroad, in network meetings and in advising professionals, administrators and the political system.

We seek an engaged physician who wishes to work with functional disorders. You should be very familiar with functional disorders and have an interest in continuing education and developing your skills in the area. You are a specialist physician in general practice, internal medicine or psychiatry, but this is not decisive if the field interests you. You want to conduct individual conversations as the primary contact physician and participate in professional sparring with the other professional groups. The position is full-time.

Center for Functional Disorders was established in 2021 and is organized under the Medical Department, Vejle Hospital, which also includes the specialties of pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, rheumatology and hematology. In the Medical Department we work to give the patient the best possible course and make use of each other’s professional knowledge and competencies. We are in rapid development and daily life often presents new tasks. We have a very high patient satisfaction, and we experience great and positive interest from our partners.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment for the position follow the junior doctors’ agreement - 33.06.1. Starting salary for the position can be found via the following link: See starting salary for positions in Region of Southern Denmark .

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
