About the job

"We are looking for a consultant physician who is eager to bring their occupational and/or social medicine expertise into play in complex cases where thorough assessments make a real difference. You will become an important sparring partner in a close multidisciplinary environment where we learn from each other and elevate the tasks together," says Lise Rom Poulsen, Head of the Injury Team 1.

So, what exactly will you do?

As a consultant physician in occupational and/or social medicine, you will become an important professional sparring partner in the assessment of cases of loss of earning capacity. Your primary task will be to prepare written medical-legal assessments in cases of loss of earning capacity, critical illness, etc., based on journals, statements and other health information.

You will also play a central role in multidisciplinary sparring with case managers and in the discussion of particularly complex cases in the Injury Center and Insurance Law. Additionally, you will contribute with ad hoc teaching when there is a need to create greater medical understanding in the organization.

Make complex medical assessments clear and usable

As a medical consultant in occupational and/or social medicine, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare written medical assessments of information in cases of loss of earning capacity.
  • Assess whether each case is sufficiently medically informed.
  • Analyze complex medical material with a focus on work capacity, functional capacity and prognosis.
  • Provide oral sparring to case managers and colleagues in the department as well as in Insurance Law.
  • Participate in weekly forums in the Injury Center and Insurance Law, where particularly complicated cases are discussed, and contribute with ad hoc teaching.

Who are you?

  • You are a specialist in occupational and/or social medicine and have at least five years of clinical experience from an occupational health or social medicine department.
  • You have documented experience with assessing work capacity, functional capacity and prognosis, as well as with work retention.
  • You can translate complex medical assessments into clear and understandable messages – both in writing and orally.
  • You work in a structured way with high quality, while thriving in multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • You have good judgment and integrity in your assessments, are professionally curious, and approach tasks pragmatically and in a service-oriented manner.

Your new department

You will become part of the Injury Center, where we are just under 50 committed employees. We span a wide range in age, experience and educational background, which gives us different perspectives and plenty of professional inspiration across the board.

In the Injury Center, responsibility and integrity are important parts of how we work. Equally important is the collegial spirit: we support and challenge each other, share our professionalism and celebrate both each other’s and our common milestones.
