We want to be at the forefront of developments in the elderly care field, so residents and staff experience a daily life that is exciting and meaningful.

We work in a professional teamwork environment that always focuses on professionalism. This means, among other things, that our starting point at any time is the core task “We focus on residents’ well-being and social relations” , and within a professional framework focusing on quality and improvement work, “The Dementia Journey Team” , “NADA ear acupuncture” and of course the ongoing improvement of documentation in Nexus.

When you start with us, you will become part of a small team of 6 colleagues, but we have good collaboration throughout the department, of which you will of course be a part. In Department 2 we have 34 somatic residential care beds, and you will have about 30 colleagues - experienced and skilled social and health care assistants, social and health care assistants, 2 nurses, 1 activities staff member, and a department head.

The position is 37 hours per week in daytime shifts with a duty every 3rd weekend.

We offer you a targeted and thorough introduction to the job, tailored to your specific experiences and competences. You will get your personal mentor who supports you until you feel ready.

• You are educated as an SSA
• You have a positive mindset and can contribute with good humour
• You have up-to-date professional competences and want to continue your professional development
• You are engaged, good at collaborating and deliberately work with positive communication with residents, relatives and colleagues
• You work systematically with documentation

Our elderly centre has a focus on the strength of our differences, both professionally, personally and in terms of experience, and the dynamics this generates. In-house we have a development nurse, occupational therapists, a documentation nurse, activities staff member, dementia consultant and a leadership team to strengthen the interprofessional collaboration.

We place a high value on professionalism, independence and influence. Therefore your task is largely to support, guide and develop your own and your colleagues’ professionalism and collaboration, so that everyone gives their best for the benefit of the residents, your colleagues and not least yourself.

We want professionally skilled staff in Elderly and Care. Therefore it is a requirement for employment as social and health care personnel (FOA) in Brøndby Municipality that you participate in any upskilling and continuing education programs, the extent and content of which are determined by Brøndby Municipality.
