We can offer you

• A large influence on your work schedule, so your private life also works
• A 32-hour position mainly in the evening shift with 4 day shifts on a 12-week cycle.
• There is the possibility of 37 hours. If this is desired, we will discuss it at the employment interview
• Shift every 2nd or 3rd weekend depending on your preference
• Start no later than 1/1-27

The staff group at Østervang is broadly composed in terms of age, seniority and competencies. You will be assigned a mentor who ensures that your training is in order and who will help you become part of Østervang.

We expect that you

• Are trained as a social and health care assistant or a social and health care helper
• Want to work with people with dementia, and have or will acquire the necessary competencies
• Preferably have experience with the care system Cura
• Know and comply with your competencies
• Are empathetic, loyal and responsible as well as contributing to a good working environment
• Are capable of good collaboration both mono- and multidisciplinary as well as with relatives and volunteers
• Can work according to Ikast-Brande Municipality's values and DNA

Who are we

Østervang is a nursing home with room for 28 residents spread over 2 departments with 14 homes in each.

Generally, the target group for admission to Østervang consists of people who are particularly cognitively challenged. The majority who live with us are diagnosed with dementia or have symptoms thereof, but also people with psychiatric disorders or cognitive problems after a brain hemorrhage or stroke are referred to Østervang.

We work from “Person-centered care,” and focus on the resident's well-being as high as possible. The person-centered approach is our fundamental starting point for residents, relatives and colleagues.

We collaborate across professions and have therefore employed nurses, an occupational therapist, social- and health care assistants, social- and health care helpers, students, hospital helpers, a nutrition staff member, cleaners and a janitor.
