About us

The Procurement Center Varde is part of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization, Supply Chain Division. We purchase broadly for the Defence, and we deliver and store all forms of materiel to Defence units and employees. In cooperation with the Supply Centers, we handle the direct resupply of Defence’s operational units and authorities deployed either nationally or internationally.

About the position

As our new buyer you will be part of a team consisting of other buyers. You will create procurement orders, and based on these you ensure timely delivery and follow-up. It requires self-discipline and a structured approach to solving the task. You must therefore have a professional focus on the purchases conducted in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

We have close contact with our users. Therefore the job requires that you are curious about the soldier’s daily life and needs, and have an approach where service and keeping the soldier at the center are top priorities, but where there is also understanding of the applicable provisions and rules that exist in the area.

Your primary tasks will be

• Creation of procurement orders
• Entering order confirmations
• Attaching documentation to procurement orders
• Invoice processing
• Follow-up on open procurement orders

About you

We imagine that you have a office education with a specialization as a purchaser or another relevant education. Experience in using ERP systems will be an advantage, but do not hesitate - we will ensure you receive thorough training.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the applicable Central Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Central Agreement) and the Administrative Agreement for clerical staff, laboratory staff and IT employees (HK) in the state.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is an opportunity for negotiation of supplements. There is a employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The work location is in Varde.

As an employee within the Danish Defence, you are subject to some special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout your employment.

As an employee you are also obliged to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
