UCN Hjørring and Hjørring Municipality collaborate to offer relevant student jobs to all interested nursing students at all semesters, throughout the entire education. In the student job you get the opportunity to acquire relevant clinical practical experience, with basic health and nursing tasks, which you can continue to develop theoretically and practically in your studies. With a student job in Hjørring Municipality, you are guaranteed an extra income throughout your education.

Prerequisite for guarantee of a student job?

Hjørring Municipality guarantees you as a nursing student at UCN Hjørring a relevant student job, already from semester 1.

It is not necessary that you have experience from the health and nursing field when applying for a student job. When you start in the student job, the department head ensures that you receive an individual introduction and training. In the introduction period the department head holds an onboarding meeting with you, where among other things your experience and competences are assessed in relation to working at Home Health Nursing.

What is offered?

There is the possibility of agreement on a student job, in day, evening and night shifts preferably on weekends, holidays and during holiday periods, taking into account your education path. The number of hours is agreed individually, based on what best fits you and your studies.

In the student job you will continuously have the opportunity to acquire and develop professional competencies. During semesters 1-3 you work, for example, with basic health and nursing tasks such as personal care, medication delivery etc. After semester 4 you work with competencies corresponding to the holistic care of the social- and health care assistant and clinical nursing professional tasks, though without the authorization responsibility.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
