About the job

Would you like to help plan and implement renovation and maintenance projects in one of Denmark's most complex municipal property portfolios? We are seeking an experienced and technically strong subject matter coordinator with a building technology background for Property Services and Operations in Frederiksberg Municipality.

The position as Subject Matter Coordinator

We are looking for a new colleague for our operations team which consists of 21 employees, of whom 19 are technical advisors and operations consultants, who together ensure coordination and execution of energy, renovation and maintenance projects as well as daily operation and service of the municipal property portfolio. We handle project, commissioning, controlling and execution roles and work with a total annual budget of more than DKK 100 million.

Our property portfolio includes, among others, schools, day care institutions, cultural institutions, swimming pools, nursing homes and residential buildings distributed over approx. 490,000 m².

The role of Subject Matter Coordinator is for you who thrive at the crossroads of project management, coordination and professional sparring, and who are motivated by being the professional beacon in complex maintenance and renovation projects. The position is located in the half of the team which has its primary focus on the building envelope at our properties.

As a Subject Matter Coordinator you will play a central role in planning, coordinating and executing projects across Frederiksberg Municipality's extensive property portfolio. As a professional beacon and project manager you ensure progress, quality and coordination across advisors, contractors, users and internal stakeholders, while contributing to the strategic development and maintenance of the municipality's properties.

Since many projects are carried out in buildings with ongoing operation and user activity, the ability to create overview, coordinate complex processes and navigate between many different considerations is crucial for success in the role.

Your main tasks include

  • Project management of renovation and maintenance projects from qualification to handover
  • Professional coordination across projects, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring progress, quality, economy and schedules
  • Act as professional beacon and sparring partner within maintenance projects and building operation
  • Support the development of strategic maintenance and long-term planning
  • Contribute to the development and use of maintenance data and data-driven decision basis
  • Ensure coherence between technical solutions, user needs and the municipality's overall strategy

We imagine that you

  • Have solid experience with project management and coordination of construction, renovation or maintenance projects
  • Have a building technology background such as building constructor or engineer
  • Thrive on creating progress and quality in complex projects
  • Are motivated to be the professional key person and sparring partner for colleagues in their projects
  • Have a good understanding of user processes and user needs and can give our users and tenants the best possible service
  • Are interested in strategic maintenance and the use of maintenance data
  • Are positive, approachable and want to join a team

Your experience may come from a municipality, region, consulting company, housing organization or similar organization with responsibility for operation and maintenance of large property portfolios.

You are the professional key person who ensures that projects are carried out professionally and with high quality within the agreed limits of time and budget. At the same time you function as sparring partner for both internal colleagues and external stakeholders and contribute to ensuring a coherent and long-term approach to maintaining the municipality's properties.

You work in a structured manner with planning, coordination and follow-up and manage to create overview and progress in complex projects with many stakeholders. At the same time you are relationship-building, constructive and enjoy navigating between different professional areas and organizational levels, where you naturally take on the role of the professional beacon power.

We offer a developing job in a workplace with a good social and professional environment. The tone is informal and characterised by humor and helpfulness and we prioritise developing and helping each other so that we as a whole team become better and thrive in the community. You get a great deal of influence on shaping your workday with flexitime and the possibility of remote work. We offer a challenging job with a wide interface and exciting and varied tasks.

Our unit is in continuous development, with focus on communication, user service and personal effectiveness. We also have a strong focus on maintenance data, financial management and process optimization and execution.
