About the job

Are you a trained nurse? And do you have an interest in both the psychiatric and the somatic specialties? Then we may have the position for you. Ward 52 is looking for a nurse who would like to become part of a well-functioning unit that combines psychiatry and somatics.

On Ward 52 we provide care and treatment for elderly psychiatric patients with complex psychiatric disorders, often in combination with somatic issues, as well as patients with developmental disabilities.

As part of the daily practice on the ward, since May 2026 we have had a collaboration with the Medical Department in Aabenraa. Two times a week we conduct joint medical rounds for patients who, in addition to their psychiatric disorder, also have somatic problems.

The collaboration supports a holistic approach to the patients and contributes to a closer link between psychiatric and somatic treatment. As a nurse, you get a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of two specialties.

Who are we

Ward 52 contains several professional groups with varying experience, and we place great emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. There is always an opportunity for sparring and support in complex situations. You are never alone, but become part of a dedicated team that lifts together. In addition, we have a guardian angel scheme that ensures we take good care of each other in the staff group.

We take pride in supporting the patient during admission in the best possible way. This relates to treatment, care, nursing, activation, conversations, and also involves collaborating partners across sectors in connection with discharge, where relatives are also involved.

We have a ward where there is a focus on environmental therapy and meaningful activities for the individual.

There is a position of 37 hours per week with weekend duty every 2nd weekend in mixed day/evening shifts. If you would prefer a different number of hours, we are happy to hear from you.

If you are a newly graduated nurse you have the option to be outside the norming for 8 weeks. This means that in your first period there will be a focus on learning and professional integration rather than productivity. But whether you are experienced or newly graduated, we will ensure that you are well introduced to the ward and the specialty. You will be assigned one or two mentors who you will follow in the initial period. In addition, the ward leadership, which consists of two chief nurses, will regularly have conversations with you to ensure that you settle in well and get a secure start.

Salary and employment

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including psychiatry allowance.

Application deadline 21/10. Interview dates on Friday 23/10.

Start 01.12.2026 or by agreement.

If you are curious about the position, or if you would like to come by to see the ward and have an informal chat before you send an application, you are welcome to contact Chief Nurse Charlotte Bach Pedersen at 2498 8340 or Chief Nurse Line Jessing at 2937 7530.
