Syvstjerneskolen is looking for two teachers for the lower primary – with a passion for Danish, mathematics and strong communities among children.

We are looking for two engaged and relationally skilled teachers for our primary school with start on 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter .

We have two positions

• A permanent teaching position with Danish as the main subject
• A maternity-leave replacement with mathematics as the main subject , until 30 June 2027

In addition, we need to cover physical education, science/technology, English and Christianity, as well as our forest school . We are flexible with subject distribution and tailor the assignments based on your professional competencies and interests.

We also take teaching out into the forest 🌳

At Syvstjerneskolen, learning is not limited to the classroom.

Through our Forest School we use Hare Reserve as an alternative learning space, where children through nature, movement, investigative activities and practical tasks have the opportunity to experience mastery and develop new sides of themselves.

The forest school is both an offer of nature and outdoor teaching and a special pedagogical initiative that creates new participation opportunities for children in vulnerable positions.

Part of the tasks in one or both positions will therefore also include Forest School, just as there is work with smaller student groups and the classes’ well-being.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who

• Is a trained teacher with strong competencies in either Danish or Mathematics.
• Has clear classroom management and strong relational competences, so you can create safe learning environments with room for all children.
• Sees teamwork as a strength and derives energy from developing teaching together with colleagues.
• Is curious about own practice and eager to create varied teaching with room for both subject-depth, movement and investigative activities.
• Burns for children's well-being and development and sees working with the community as a natural part of teaching.

Practical information

• Positions: A permanent teaching position and a fixed-term maternity-leave replacement.
• Employment scope: The permanent position is full-time (100%), while the maternity-leave replacement is 90% of full-time.
• Start: 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
• Maternity-leave replacement: Until 30 June 2027.
• Workplace: Syvstjerneskolen, Lillestjernen campus.
