Teachers for our growing reception classes for upper secondary students

We are still welcoming more pupils in our upper-grade reception classes at Skjern Folkeskole. Therefore we are expanding with yet another class and are seeking 2 teachers who want to become part of a strong academic and collegial community. The positions are full-time and initially until July 2027 with the possibility of extension.

In the reception classes, young people who have recently come to Denmark attend and receive basic Danish as a second language instruction. The students come with different schooling backgrounds, languages and academic prerequisites. What they have in common is that they must find their footing in a new school, a new language and a new everyday life.

This is where you come in.

We will cover the full range of subjects in the new class and we are particularly interested in teachers with competencies in Danish, mathematics, English, science subjects and practical-musical subjects. Tell us what you can contribute.

If you have experience with or competencies in Danish as a second language (DSA), that is a clear advantage, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are professionally curious and eager to work with a group of students where teaching demands clarity, flexibility and attention to the individual.
