Technology & Innovation Advisor with Mathematics for Rødovre School

About the job

As one of our three Technology & Innovations advisers has been chosen as a union representative at Rødovre School and therefore can no longer perform his/her T&I duties, we are looking for a new, competent and relationship-building teacher and T&I adviser who is passionate about creating a good school for our children and young people.

We succeed in retaining our many skilled employees. Last school year we had only one resignation among our teaching staff of nearly 60 teachers and kindergarten class leaders. There are therefore no vacant teaching positions at Rødovre School hanging on the trees.

Mathematics teacher and homeroom teacher for 8th grade

You will become part of the team around our 8th grade. Here you will be together with experienced and skilled teachers in our upper-year team, which has a close collaboration with fixed weekly scheduled Thursday team meetings from 14:00 to 15:30.

You and the Danish teacher share the homeroom function in the class where you teach mathematics.

Your other professional competencies will also come into play, preferably in one or more of the following subjects: geography, biology or social studies.

You will become part of a strong and well-functioning teaching staff with people of different ages and backgrounds. We have a strong culture of collaboration, where we help and support each other.

Each year group has a fixed weekly team meeting. As a new employee you will be assigned a mentor who will help you get started.

From the upcoming school year it has been municipally decided that there should be two teachers at 50% in all Danish and mathematics lessons in the 8th and 9th grades.

T&I advisor role at the school

As a technology and innovation teacher at Rødovre School you will work proactively and outreach-style with guidance, co-teaching and cross-disciplinary work, where technology & innovation should support and develop other subjects. The teaching is planned, conducted and evaluated in collaboration with subject teachers, pedagogues, subject- or year-teams. Additionally, there is the possibility for deepening in concrete technologies with the design and innovation process as a didactic framework.

The work with technology and innovation will take place in close and committed collaboration with the school’s other technology and innovation teacher as well as other professional key persons in the school’s advisor team.

In collaboration with the management you will put technology & innovation on the agenda for all children and adults at the school.

In addition, you will also join a strong professional community with the municipality’s other technology and innovation teachers centered around the municipality’s TekX, which is located close to Rødovre School. There will be approximately 10 weekly non-teaching lessons for this T&I assignment.

The position is basically a full-time position with starting from January 1st
