Our organization

Center for Brain Injury is a professional center specializing in services targeted at adults with an acquired brain injury as a result of illness or accident. Rehabilitation is achieved through a wide range of interventions with the aim of giving the best conditions for quality of life, well-being and coping in everyday life based on the citizen's resources.

Tasks are carried out by multidisciplinary teams consisting of health professionals, pedagogues, occupational and physiotherapists. At Sjællandsvej there is room for 27 residents and there are just under 90 employees who work in day, evening and night shifts.

The center consists of two departments, the Sjællandsvej department and the Cortex department. Depending on how far the resident is in their rehabilitation process after the brain injury occurred, Sjællandsvej can offer a temporary or longer-term stay for people in need of a specialized rehabilitation effort. Residents will often have extensive needs for support with ordinary daily functions or care and rehabilitation or maintenance-type training. There are also activity and social opportunities for residents who need to maintain or improve personal skills or their living conditions.
