About us

Lokal IT Servicecenter Bornholm is a team of 4 employees, including 2 apprentices. We solve IT tasks for users at Almegårds Barracks and other locations in the area in close collaboration with Lokal IT Servicecenter in the Region.

Lokal IT Servicecenter Bornholm is part of the regional service centers that cover the Capital Region and is part of the Cyber division of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO). The agency is headquartered in Ballerup.

Our tasks are diverse and include user support as well as operation of administrative networks and IT systems.

About the position

As an IT Supporter you will take on many exciting and varied tasks within the area of operation, service and support as well as logistics. The position includes challenges in configuring and supporting administrative IT systems, as well as direct user support in an operational environment where uptime and security are paramount.

In the role you will join our service team, where you provide our customers with 1st and 2nd level support. Your tasks range from several telephone support tasks to personal contact with users with very different backgrounds. It is therefore essential that you enjoy a job with varying tasks and are able to tailor your assistance to the user’s needs and knowledge.

You will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including

• Installation, maintenance and optimization of primarily Microsoft solutions
• Preparation and installation of PCs
• User support
• User administration
• Administration of our local IT stores
• Demars logistics inventory tasks

About you

You are service-minded and motivated by delivering professional support. You thrive in the role of technical specialist and deliver high-quality support. You work in a structured way, take responsibility and initiative and keep an overview – also when handling several tasks simultaneously.

Professional competences

• Qualified IT support technician
• Experience with wireless and wired networks
• Knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft products
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM tools (e.g. Remedy/ServiceNow) is an advantage – but not a requirement
• Knowledge of the Defence/FMI organization and DeMars is an advantage – but not a requirement
• You communicate professionally in Danish and English both spoken and written.

You are structured and self-driven and can plan and follow up on your own tasks. You present yourself professionally, work customer-oriented and thrive in cross-organizational collaboration. You are quality conscious, persistent and engaged in your professional development, and you share knowledge with your colleagues.

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the then-current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector Agreement (OAO-S collective agreement) and the collective agreement for office workers, laboratory technicians and IT personnel.

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiating additional pay. The position has an employer-funded pension scheme.

The workplace is at Almegårds Barracks.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment.

You as an employee also have a duty to render service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization

The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (FMI) is an agency under the Danish Ministry of Defence. FMI is responsible for the overall defense and emergency materiel, IT and cyber security. It is us who procure, operate and dispose of materiel and IT for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Arctic Command, Special Operations Command, Home Guard, the Danish Emergency Management Agency and the rest of the Danish Defence Organization.
