About the job

Are you passionate about a varied job, where you also use your natural science knowledge and interest in environmental technology? Then we may have the job for you!

The Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Programme provides annual grants for new and exciting projects that develop new solutions to environmental challenges within Climate Adaptation; Biodiversity; Environmental hazards, Clean air; Clean water; and Circular economy.

The programme is led by an independent board, supported by the MUDP secretariat in the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. The secretariat's tasks range from case processing of applications and ongoing projects, preparation of board meetings, and much more.

We are looking for you who want to

  • be our new colleague in the MUDP secretariat. You will participate in the work of evaluating grant applications. It is therefore an advantage if you have technical insight into one or more of MUDP’s areas. There will also be other tasks such as working with partnerships and servicing and contact with MUDP’s external board, including planning board meetings and preparing board materials in cooperation with the team, handling applications under the Arctic Environmental Support scheme etc. You will gain broad exposure to external stakeholders, including MUDP’s external stakeholders.

We are looking for you who have

An environmental/science background and a strong interest in environmental technology/innovation.

We are looking for you who can

  • work in collaboration with colleagues and external partners with different professional backgrounds.
  • work independently and in a structured manner, be able to plan and manage processes, and at the same time be a team player with good cooperation skills.
  • communicate and express yourself correctly and precisely in writing and be able to present technically complicated material in an accessible way.
  • think in a holistic way and maintain an overview, even when things move quickly.

We also expect you to be thorough, quality-conscious and a good colleague, and to enjoy working with many different parties both internally and externally, including being service-minded towards companies and organizations with a service-oriented approach to board support.

We offer you

An exciting position with responsibility and meaning, and where your work has a large impact on the development of Danish environmental technology. A position for those who are passionate about working to safeguard our shared environment through support for technology development. You will join a team and an office where the pace is high – and so is the mood – and we will pull together. Your colleagues are professionally knowledgeable, the bar is set high, and we prioritize professional sparring and knowledge sharing mixed with humor and friendly chat over coffee.

We are a commuter-friendly workplace with flexitime and the possibility of home working. We offer an exciting environment where everyday life alternates between case processing characterized by depth, administration, operations and development, and ongoing handling of spontaneously arising environmental questions.

Responsibilities in the unit and organization

The Office for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development consists of two teams, namely the MUDP secretariat and the International Team, which coordinates the Environmental Protection Agency’s international authority collaborations. We are about 15 in the office with diverse professional backgrounds and experience – including a functional manager and an office chief.

The available position (maternity cover) is in the MUDP secretariat. MUDP is a grant scheme that supports the development of new environmental technology by companies in areas such as water & climate adaptation, air & noise, waste & resources, sustainable construction, chemistry and biodiversity. The programme is led by an independent board, supported by the MUDP secretariat in the Environmental Protection Agency. The secretariat’s tasks range from evaluating applications, processing ongoing projects, preparing board meetings and much more.
