About the job

Do you have a detective hidden in your stomach, and are you good at following clues? Do you want to use your knowledge of accounting, VAT and taxes to solve various types of fraud cases within the tax and duties area and support the police in combating economic crime in the biker and gang environment? Then read on!

Become part of Special Control in the Tax Administration

The field of Special Control fights organized, systematic and complex tax-economic crime. It is a task with wide political and media attention, as the area has fundamental importance for society and for the individual citizen’s sense of justice and trust in the Tax Administration. Special Control works concretely with a wide range of fraud types, including chain-fraud, biker- and gang-related economic crime and money laundering.

Our office Special Control 12 is part of the Center for Tax Economic Crime and Money Laundering II, which currently counts 120 employees spread across a total of 6 units. The center is led by a deputy director and is one of three centers in the field of Special Control. In our center we view stakeholder handling and collaboration as an important part of our task, and we believe that the best results are created in collaboration. We closely follow the development of new fraud trends, where data and analysis provide new and significant perspectives on our authority tasks.

The task of supporting the police’s efforts against economic crime in the biker- and gang environment is carried out in collaboration with Special Control 13, with which we have close cooperation. Our office currently consists of 21 employees who all contribute to the task. This happens at the desk, through outbound controls and by assisting the police at operations, interrogations and searches. We thus have close cooperation with the various police districts and the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK).

The office participates in cross-cutting investigative groups under NSK leadership in Ejby, Glostrup, where after thorough training and with experience from case handling in the Tax Administration, you must be prepared to join a duty arrangement with temporary secondment to NSK.

Control with a view to uncover chain fraud, front companies and money laundering

As our new specialist you will, in close collaboration with your colleagues, handle tasks from A to Z; including:

  • conduct complex controls of individuals, companies and entities to uncover organized fraud, including chain-fraud, invoice mills, front companies and money laundering
  • provide assistance to the Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office in connection with concrete cases, assessments, controls, searches and witness statements
  • ensure a close and trusting collaboration with other units and authorities.

Curious and knowledge-hungry accounting profile with strong communication skills

We imagine that you have a relevant educational background, for example the Tax Administration’s trainee education, tax auditor, professional bachelor in taxation, other auditing education such as cand.merc. (aud. or jur.), HD(R) or similar. Alternatively you have through your professional experience gained good competencies and prerequisites for working with both accounting, VAT and tax tasks. We emphasize that you have experience with tax, VAT and accounting reporting and would prefer that you are used to working with data-based analysis.

Become part of a competent learning environment

We offer a challenging job with great influence on your own tasks. You will become part of a team where knowledge sharing, professional pride and recognition help create a positive work environment, and where well-being and job satisfaction are prioritized. You will receive a high degree of flexibility and will be involved in task planning and problem solving, so work and family life can be balanced.

From day one we focus on getting you well integrated into our tasks, so you come off to a good start. You will receive thorough training in how we combat tax and duty fraud. Development opportunities are many, and you will have ample opportunity to improve yourself on internal and external courses relevant to your development – among others we have Svigsakademiet (Fraud Academy) developed in Special Control, which contains a number of modules on different topics and themes aimed at our employees.
