The Environmental and Logistics Team at Rigshospitalet Glostrup is looking for a porter substitute.

We need a colleague who would like to be part of our team and participate in all the diverse tasks we have: collection of source-sorted waste, collection of dirty linen, delivery of goods as well as smaller moving tasks.

We are a group of about 20 skilled porters, and are part of our large unit consisting of requisitioners and hospital assistants. We are very dependent on each other, and it is therefore important to us that we can help each other across our work tasks. Therefore there is also an opportunity to gain knowledge about and understanding of our nearest colleagues' work, who are skilled in their field such as the laundry and requisitioners.

We are a group of very different people, with different backgrounds and ages, and we all contribute to a good working day with good humor and professional conduct.

• Working hours that fall in the time window 7:00-15:00. As a rule you will have weekend shifts every 4 weeks.
• Average 37-hour work week over a normal period.
• A good on-the-job training where we have particular focus on hygiene and source sorting (your core area).
• Always having something to do, as we have our hands on everything that needs to be brought to wards and returned from wards.
• Familiarity with our IT, as all our tasks and training programs are on a mobile phone (CSL).
• Some really good colleagues who embrace breadth.
• A physical job with focus on correct lifting techniques, use of aids and always focus on smart ways of working to minimize double handling.
• Opportunity for membership of the hospital’s own fitness center Pusterummet for DKK 95 per month, where you can train at all times outside working hours. There is a possibility that a relative can become a member.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible and no later than 1 January 2027, and you will be employed in a one-year temporary position, with the possibility of permanent employment.

The first 8 months the monthly salary is DKK 27,867.45. After 8 months the monthly salary increases to DKK 28,552.70 + pension.

The Environment and Logistics Team is a service unit under Clinical Supply and Logistics and is anchored in the Service Center together with the other service departments.
