About the job

The Royal Danish Theatre is seeking a staff member for the Warehouse and Logistics Department in the Technical Department for permanent employment as of January 1, 2027.

The theatre produces about 65 different productions and other activities annually, which together perform more than 900 times. The scenery for these is currently stored in almost 400 containers placed in our warehouse on Refshaleøen.

The Warehouse and Logistics Department consists of a total of 4 staff, who partly perform daily transports between the theatre's locations and handle the warehouse. The vacant position will have primary focus on the latter.

We are in the process of digitizing our warehouse and recycling to create a better overview, and to create good conditions for green transition. As a employee in the warehouse and logistics department you will play an important role in this transition.

Your primary tasks are

  • Handling of containers and other goods in the warehouse
  • Coordination and ordering of transports
  • Emptying of containers in connection with the disposal/cancellation of performances
  • Sorting and recording of recycled elements and standard equipment in a digital warehouse system
  • Operation of a picking warehouse for stage equipment such as podiums, rigging etc.
  • Assisting with maintenance, operation and service of cars and machines
  • Coordination with other departments
  • Responsible for maintaining order in the warehouse, including ensuring that items not stored in containers are properly stored

We offer

You will be part of a small team of 4 people but also part of a strong group of about 140 stage technicians distributed across the warehouse and our seven stages in the Opera House, the Playhouse and the Old Stage.

The Royal Danish Theatre is a dynamic workplace with exciting tasks in a creative community, where quality and efficiency go hand in hand. You will have engaged and skilled colleagues who work together to realize the theatre's artistic ambitions.

Finally you will have the opportunity to influence the future of warehouse operations at The Royal Danish Theatre.

Qualifications

We are seeking an employee who can and will make a difference in the development taking place both at the theatre and in the warehouse. Therefore we emphasize:

  • Solution-oriented approach and good collaborative skills
  • Ability to work structurally as part of a small team
  • IT flair and preferably familiarity with digital warehouse management or similar
  • It is important that you are willing to take co-responsibility for ensuring that daily work is planned and performed in a safe and sound manner and in a good and positive spirit in cooperation with management and the many colleagues and partners
  • Driver's license for a car – and preferably also for a forklift and telescopic handler – or at least willingness to obtain them.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is full-time, and employment is as a theatre technician under the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations - The Public Sector Area as well as the Organizational Agreement for theatre technicians/pedellers at The Royal Danish Theatre.

Remuneration is based on seniority, and the base salary starts at DKK 30,578.75 per month. In addition, allowances according to the organizational agreement and pension according to applicable rules.
