The Steril Supply Department at Gentofte Hospital is looking for 1-2 new colleagues for 37 hours per week on 1 November 2026 or by agreement

Would you like to use your health care skills in a different way, then we have the position for you. We are looking for a social- and health care assistant for 37 hours per week in day shifts for our function in the operating department.

Your tasks will consist of

• Restocking in the operating rooms.
• Receiving instruments for the operating department.
• Daily coordination of sterile goods flow between the sterile supply, the operating department and the operating rooms.
• Cleaning of anaesthesia equipment
• Preparing trolleys for the operating department.
• Maintaining an overview of the department's consumables, ordering and receiving the goods.
• Acting solution-oriented in unforeseen tasks

We expect that you

• Are educated as a social- and health care assistant
• Preferably with experience from the operating room/sterile supply or similar
• Can use IT at user level
• Are flexible, engaged and responsible with good collaboration skills
• Can work independently after introduction
• Are accommodating and service-minded

Department profile

The Sterile Supply is part of the Department of Anesthesia, Surgery and Intensive Care at Herlev-Gentofte Hospital. The department management consists of 1 chief physician and 2 lead nurses, where you report to the head nurse for Gentofte Matriculation.

We are an exciting workplace with thorough introduction to the tasks. We focus on quality, good service and a good working environment. The position includes day shifts between 06:00-15:00, we work 8-hour shifts. The Sterile Central and the operating room are closed on weekends and holidays, however there is an option to keep them open on certain days during Christmas and Easter. We also have low production in connection with school summer vacation, week 42 and weeks 7-8, when most people are expected to take holidays.

The Sterile Supply is part of the Department of Anesthesia, Surgery and Intensive Care. In the Sterile Supply, instruments are washed, packaged and sterilized for use in operations. In addition, we service the operating room, anesthesia, the recovery and intensive care units with ordering and replenishment of sterile goods. We are a unit with 30 permanent staff.

Salary and employment conditions

You are employed in a permanent position of 37 hours per week and report to the area manager in the Sterile Supply. The position is available on 1 January 2027 or by agreement. Salary and employment conditions are usually set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for social- and health personnel.
