In Horsens Municipality we have a clear political ambition for more students to have better participation opportunities in mainstream communities through practice-oriented support of the municipality's kindergartens and schools. The vision is to bring resources and knowledge into play precisely where everyday life unfolds in a strong collaboration with the pedagogical staff in kindergartens and schools.

As a knowledge center staff member you will be part of our overall support system, working closely with daily pedagogical practice. You will have a primary affiliation to either the kindergartens or school area, but we emphasize that you can participate in a cross-disciplinary team across the entire area. We see it as a strength to bring different professionalities and perspectives into play in solving our joint task of creating the best conditions for learning, wellbeing and development.

Who are we?

Knowledge Center for Early Childhood Education and School is a newly established pedagogical expedition team consisting of a total of 12 dedicated practitioners, each with their own expertise, who collaborate with the municipality's professional staff on a wide range of pedagogical development tasks. We constitute a flexible and dynamic unit that moves quickly out and is expected both to support operations and drive development in kindergartens and schools.

We therefore work in the cross-field between theory and practice and step directly into the classrooms with the aim of strengthening participation opportunities for all children and young people in the municipality. We place emphasis on integrity, cooperation, humor and a high professional ambition. We strive to develop professionally together and continually become more skilled in our field.

We have an office centrally in the town on Fuglevangsvej, but our daily work is primarily anchored in practice, which is why we spend the majority of our working time in kindergartens and schools. We have a close collaboration with the Cross-Functional Unit for Learning, and together we form the close support system that supports the municipality's kindergartens and schools in the work of creating strong learning environments.

Who are you?

We are seeking new colleagues who know their discipline with a strong passion for translating data and knowledge about pedagogy and didactics into practice-oriented professional development that makes a difference in everyday life. The role requires an investigative and professional approach to collaboration as well as an ability to navigate safely in situations where the task is complex and variable.

The position requires strong relational competencies and a clear ability to create structure, systematic thinking and overview in collaboration configurations where many actors and perspectives are in play. It is expected that you have a good understanding of all aspects of the pedagogical task, spanning a broadly composed group of children and young people, from the most vulnerable to those who need to be met with greater professional challenges in their daily life.

We envision you as a dedicated and skilled practitioner with relevant education and documented experience from general or special pedagogical kindergartens and/or school practice. In addition, we would like you to have an academic postgraduate degree in the form of a master's degree or another advanced degree in pedagogy, psychology or similar.

The specific salary depends on the position as well as your experience and qualifications and may, in addition to base pay, consist of relevant negotiated allowances.
