Trainees for Pedagogical Assistant Education (PAU) with on-the-job training in Furesø Municipality's daycare services

Then the Pedagogical Assistant Education might be just for you?

Furesø Municipality is seeking pedagogical assistant trainees with admission to the main part of the Pedagogical Assistant Education, starting January 2027. In the internships that are part of your education, you will work in our day-care services and gain practical experience working with children aged 0-5 years. You will have 2 hours of scheduled preparation time for reflection and written assignments related to the education, daily observations and the like. You will also, as a rule, have 1 hour of supervision each week.

About the education

The Pedagogical Assistant Education is a vocational education that includes both school and internship periods and is, among other things, a pathway to the teacher training. You will receive an education contract with Furesø Municipality and your internship periods will take place in day-care facilities in Furesø Municipality. The school periods take place at SOSU H.

About you

You are currently undertaking or have completed Grundforløb 2, Pedagogical Assistant at a vocational school (e.g., SOSU H)

You have a minimum grade of 2 in Danish and Mathematics from the final exams in 9th or 10th grade

You are reliable and enjoy working with children

You are motivated and engaged, so you enjoy going to school and to work

You are good at collaborating with others and also able to work independently

You have the desire and courage to educate yourself

How to apply

You must write a motivated application explaining why you want to train as a pedagogical assistant. Please attach transcripts from 9th or 10th grade, education certificates, references from previous employment, and possibly proof of completion of Grundforløb 1. Salary and employment terms

The working hours are 37 hours per week. Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement with FOA for trainees. The employment is temporary. This means that you are employed for as long as the education lasts.
