About the job

The Elderly Care area in Svendborg Municipality has decided that leadership in all sections henceforth shall consist of a leadership team with a sectional manager and an assistant manager. The Elderly Care area in Svendborg Municipality therefore offers an exciting newly established position as assistant manager at Trollehøj Nursing Home.

Together you are responsible that in the section work is carried out based on the values of Svendborg Municipality:

The assistant manager supports the sectional head in the operation of the section and handles delegated leadership tasks.

That is, you share responsibility for implementing new legislation, strategies and other initiatives in the section.

In addition you will have a range of responsibilities such as

• Shift scheduling and vacation planning
• Visiting schedule planning, including supporting the fixed teams in planning the day's tasks
• Sick leave conversations for short-term sick leave
• Administrative tasks e.g. in connection with onboarding of new employees, trainees and students
• Planning of trainee programs in cooperation with the training supervisor
• Support daily operations, use of key personnel, audit, documentation and UTH
• Coordinator on various projects

About you

You are good at the relational, quickly gaining followers and you are passionate about professional collaboration and person-centered care.

You see opportunities, naturally take on the leadership role, show responsibility and ownership.

You have a relevant professional or administrative education and a great understanding of how we work with ensuring the right competencies for the tasks in the section.

You possess, or wish to develop, leadership skills such as organizational understanding, self-awareness, facilitation, reflection and conflict management.

You work in a structured way, and take pride in delivering a professional and high-quality result.

You have a flair for IT, understanding of resource management, budget monitoring and collective agreement areas.

You have an understanding of working in a politically governed organization.

Trollehøj Nursing Home consists of 36 care apartments, located in scenic surroundings in the eastern part of Svendborg.

Trollehøj is a care center with approximately 50 employees, who daily work for professional, interdisciplinary and collaborative cooperation to create the best home for residents.

Trollehøj Nursing Home collaborates purposefully with residents and their relatives on communities and autonomy for the individual.

Trollehøj has a successful collaboration with volunteers from the local area, which we want to expand.

The Elderly Care area has a fixed onboarding concept, where you are introduced to your new position and to Svendborg Municipality. We focus on good leadership and believe that it is essential to create good citizen journeys and attract and recruit skilled employees.

Salary and employment

Start date 01.01.2027.

• 1st interview expected to be held on 05.11.2026.
• 2nd interview expected to be held on 16.11.2026.
• For the 2nd interview there will be a case.

Salary and conditions according to the applicable collective agreement, where the base salary is approximately DKK 40,000 per month before pension, with the possibility to negotiate a qualification pay.

Upon filling the position, an updated criminal record must be presented.
