About the job

Educator for the +group at Idrætsbørnehuset Tusenfryd

Are you passionate about making a special difference for children who need extra support in their daily lives? Are you motivated by working closely with the individual child and creating environments where all children experience development, well-being and participation in the community? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for for our +group.

We are seeking an engaged educator for our +group starting January 1, 2027

The +group consists of a small cohort of five children. Here you will have a unique opportunity to work in a learning environment where there is time and space to plan targeted pedagogical interventions that support the individual child’s development, well-being and participation opportunities.

We work with structure, clarity and recognizability in our pedagogical approach. The work takes place both individually and in small groups, where we base it on the individual child’s resources and needs. All children must have the opportunity to participate in relevant and meaningful communities with support from the present adults.

+group has close collaboration with the neighboring room. An important part of the work is to build a bridge between the +group and the standard kindergarten group. Together with your colleagues you actively develop play communities and participation opportunities across the groups, so that all children feel themselves to be a valuable part of the nursery’s community.

In +group you will become part of an engaged team, where professional reflection, collaboration and presence are highly valued. Together with your colleagues you plan and develop pedagogical interventions based on the children’s resources, needs and potentials. You will enter into close collaboration with cross-disciplinary partners and parents, who through dialogue, sparring and joint efforts help to support the children’s well-being, development and learning.

Although you are primarily attached to the +group, you will become part of a large and professionally strong nursery with engaged colleagues and a strong professional community.

We are proud to be certified through the Danish Sports Association, where movement is a natural part of our daily life and pedagogical foundation. We hop, run, roll, dance and play our way to learning, development and strong relationships.

This approach permeates the whole house, and the +group is a natural part of the larger communities when we, for example, host morning fun, running days and joint events. We also have our own hall, which forms the framework for many of our pedagogical sports activities.

Our fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces give the children rich opportunities to explore the world, challenge themselves and develop their motor skills through play and movement. We often go on walks in the local area or cycle out into the blue, where we together experience new adventures and return home with exciting experiences in our backpacks.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a trained pedagogue or will graduate in January 2027.
  • Have experience from daycare or are keen on new professional challenges.
  • Have knowledge of or an interest in the special needs area.
  • Are present, caring and patient in meeting the children.
  • Dare to bring your own perspectives and professional reflections into play.
  • Are focused on developing learning environments with emphasis on play, participation and community.
  • Are flexible and thrive in a day-to-day where needs and tasks continuously evolve.

And most importantly: You believe that children learn best when they are having fun. Really fun. When laughter fills the room, and play is allowed to be the focal point of the children’s development, learning and communities.

We offer

  • A everyday life filled with meaning, where children’s well-being, development and learning are always at the center.
  • A safe and professional community with room for sparring, reflection and competence development.
  • Committed colleagues who help each other, lift as a team and nurture the good atmosphere.
  • A workplace characterized by trust, shared influence and room for initiative.
  • Opportunity for ongoing professional development and close collaboration with cross-disciplinary partners.

About the Katrinedal Daycare Area

  • ICDP training for all staff.
  • Workshops and professional development programs.

  • Annual learning festival, culture festival and other joint professional initiatives.
