About the job

Would you like to help create meaningful rehabilitation pathways close to the citizen's everyday life? And do you thrive in a strong professional community where interdisciplinary collaboration, development and high quality go hand in hand?

The Outpatient Training in Fredensborg Municipality is looking for two occupational therapists for two exciting positions:

We are looking for

  • Occupational Therapist for Neurological Team
  • Occupational Therapist for Geriatric Team

Both positions are primarily based at Skovgården in Humlebæk.

In our department you will be part of a development-oriented unit with high professional standards and a strong collegial community. We work rehabilitatively with departure from the citizen's goals, resources and everyday life and with a focus on creating coherent pathways that strengthen the citizen's ability to live as independently and as meaningfully as possible.

Who are we?

The Outpatient Training consists of 44 employees, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, development therapist, administrative staff, as well as a management unit that receives and distributes rehabilitation plans and other inquiries.

We value high professionalism, knowledge sharing and close interdisciplinary collaboration. This applies both within the individual teams, across the Outpatient Training and together with colleagues and partners in the rest of the municipality.

With us you get professional sparring and at the same time great independence in planning your workday.

We offer

  • A strong professional and collegial community
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration and opportunities for professional sparring
  • A self-directed workday with freedom and responsibility
  • Focus on professional development, work environment and well-being
  • Opportunity to contribute to the development of our rehabilitation initiatives
  • A thorough and individually tailored introduction to the job

We prioritize a good start

We know that a good onboarding is important for both well-being and professionalism. Therefore, as a new employee you will receive:

  • An introduction plan tailored to your experience and competences
  • A fixed buddy during the start-up period
  • Introduction to the organization, workflows and colleagues
  • Thorough training in relevant systems and documentation practices
  • Close sparring with experienced colleagues

Position 1 - Occupational Therapist for Neurological Team

Are you passionate about neurology, dysphagia and meaningful rehabilitation pathways?

In the Neurological Team we work with citizens/patients with, among others, acquired brain injury and other neurological disorders.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary environment with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and a brain injury coordinator. We also work closely with a speech therapist and a neuropsychologist who also have offices here several days a week.

  • Dysphagia assessment, training and guidance
  • ADL assessments focusing on activity, participation and mastery of daily life
  • Cognitive and motor rehabilitation based on the citizen's individual goals
  • Assessment of the need for assistive devices and compensatory strategies
  • Interdisciplinary planning and coordination of rehabilitation pathways
  • Collaboration with citizens, relatives and relevant partners

Work takes place at the training center, in citizens' homes and in the local environment.
