About the job

Do you want to create direction, stability and professional development in an area that makes a crucial difference for people with mental and social challenges?

Do you want to help create strong communities, prevent social vulnerability and develop interventions that give people new opportunities? Can you create structure and common direction while supporting employees' professionalism and the development of future social interventions?

Then you now have the opportunity to become one of our two professional leaders in Day Centers and Special Interventions in the Center for Disability and Psychiatry in Frederikshavn Municipality.

We are looking for two professional leaders who together can ensure stable operation, clear frameworks and a common professional direction across our day centers, The Social Pit Stop, the Peer Education and Housing First interventions.

The area is under development, and you will play a central role in strengthening the coherence between offerings and further developing interventions that support citizens' opportunities for participation, community, mastery and independence. We work from an ambition to prevent social problems from growing, and to offer the least intrusive support that meets the citizen's needs. Communities, the citizen's own resources and opportunities to live an independent life are therefore central focal points in our work.

As professional leaders you will have responsibility for both professional leadership and daily operations within your respective areas. You must be able to create overview, prioritize tasks and work systematically with professional quality, workflows and follow-up. At the same time you will be part of a strong leadership community where courage, accountability and integrity are central values.

About Day Centers and Special Interventions

Day Centers and Special Interventions are part of Specialized Day Care under the Center for Disability and Psychiatry.

The area includes the following offerings and interventions

  • The Day Center in Skagen
  • Bakkely in Frederikshavn
  • House in Skansegade in Frederikshavn
  • Clasens Farm in Sæby
  • The Social Pit Stop (the municipality's open entrance)
  • Housing First team, including the outreach contact person scheme under the Danish Service Act § 99
  • Peer education

The offerings are geographically located across Frederikshavn Municipality and cover both local and municipality-wide interventions. The positions therefore involve ongoing travel between workplaces. It is a condition that you have a valid category B driving license and own car.

The offerings have different target groups and tasks, but common to them is the desire to prevent social vulnerability, create meaningful communities and support citizens' opportunities to live an independent life. We want to create frameworks where citizens can be part of communities and use open, flexible offerings, and where the need for more extensive support is prevented as far as possible through early and relevant interventions.

The area consists of employees with various professional backgrounds. It requires a unified leadership that can create coherence and common direction, while the individual offerings' professionalism and strengths are developed.

An important task

Day Centers and Special Interventions are in a development phase, where we are working to create more coherent, flexible and citizen-centered interventions.

As professional leaders you will have the opportunity to influence this development. A central task will be to create a solid professional and organizational foundation with clear frameworks, systematic workflows and stable operation.

From here you shall, in collaboration with employees, citizens and partners, drive the continued professional development.

We work among other things with

  • strengthening the coherence between day centers and preventive offerings
  • further developing Housing First interventions and the cross-agency collaboration
  • strengthening citizen involvement and recovery-oriented approaches
  • creating stronger interplay between professional staff, peers and volunteers
  • developing early and flexible interventions close to citizens' daily lives
  • ensuring meaningful documentation, systematic follow-up and high professional quality

We are therefore seeking professional leaders who can create structure, overview and progress and translate professional ambitions into concrete practice. It is important that you can both support employees' professionalism and ensure that agreements, workflows and interventions are followed through.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant social science, pedagogical or other relevant higher education, possibly supplemented with a leadership education
  • have experience with professional leadership, personnel management and/or coordination of complex tasks
  • preferably have experience from the specialized social area, especially working with people in social vulnerability
  • have knowledge of Housing First and preferably experience with methods such as CTI and ICM
  • work systematically and structured and can create overview, prioritize tasks and ensure progress
  • focus on supporting citizens' participation in communities and their opportunities to master their own life
  • focus on professional quality, documentation and systematic follow-up
  • can create companionship through clear communication, involvement and integrity
  • can balance the need for stable operation with the need for professional development and organizational learning.

It is an advantage if you have experience in translating professional ambitions into practice and creating common workflows and systematization across employees and offerings. You do not need to know everything from the start, but you should be willing to take responsibility, create direction and drive the development of the area together with others.
