Economic caseworker for Benefits Service – Sick Pay / Job Clarification

Your key tasks

• To ensure that citizens receive the correct benefit on time and with the correct professional justification, primarily on the following tasks:
• Economic case processing of sickness benefit cases in KSD for citizens and businesses
• Economic case processing of job clarification cases in KY for citizens and businesses
• Ongoing case processing of tasks such as follow-up to ensure citizens receive the correct benefit such as hearings of parties and sanctions
• Personal and telephone servicing of citizens and businesses.

The legislation in the area is complex, and a large part of the job therefore also involves daily advising citizens about possibilities and limitations based on a holistic, social-work oriented approach.

The position thus balances between an authority and a service function, and we place emphasis on citizens experiencing quality and high professionalism in their interaction with us.

Your competencies

• You can work systematically, are curious, keep an overview and see cross-cutting connections
• You are professional and respectful in contact with citizens
• You will actively participate in the ongoing development in the team and across the organization
• You have relevant education and preferably experience within the benefits area
• You have experience using municipal IT systems, particularly KSD and KY
• You have initiative, are proactive and outgoing – we would like you to ask curious questions
• You are a true team player with good collaboration skills, which come into play in the team and in relation to our many partners
• You have an easy smile, even when everyday life is busy, and a difficult situation arises.

Who we are

Benefit Service is part of the Citizen and Safety section, which is a central function and supports all our colleagues in the Center for Social and Labor Market.

We report directly to team leader Michelle Jeppesen.

You will become part of a Sick Leave Benefits team with 2 engaged colleagues. We emphasize a strong professional environment with daily sparring in an informal tone – it should be fun to go to work and therefore we also strive to continuously develop our task solution and working environment.

You will get an exciting and challenging full-time position with varied tasks.

Benefit Service consists, in addition to the Sick Leave Benefits team, of a Benefits Team and a Pension Team.

Hiring process and salary

The hiring date is January 1, 2027.

We expect to hold interviews on November 20, 2026.

We will obtain a criminal record check.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for Office and IT staff in municipalities. Employment takes place according to the principles of local salary formation and after agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is 35,013.33 DKK – 47,612.73 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiation between the employer and the professional organization with the negotiating rights in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
