The Youth Unit in Hvidovre Municipality is looking for an IPS consultant for permanent employment

Are you passionate about working with new approaches in social work with mentally vulnerable individuals and delivering results? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of our IPS team, as we are looking for an IPS consultant for our IPS team. In Hvidovre we have worked with IPS since 2021 – and we believe in the method. With IPS we create hope, direction and lasting solutions for people with mental vulnerability who want to find a foothold in the labor market. The goal is to support the candidates in realizing their dreams of work or education through an intensive and guided effort.

We are a professionally strong team that thrives on flexible arranged working hours with a balance between the job, which requires that you be flexible as to when the people we work with need support – but of course also so that it can fit with private life.

We are focused on creating new paths in social work through curiosity and drive. We place emphasis on working holistically, and therefore have many different collaboration interfaces around the candidates.

It is expected that you can be a key person and a link between all the different collaborators to support the individual in the best possible way in work and education.

Who are you? We imagine that you are good at building relationships and trust with our candidates and collaborators. You can accommodate that the candidate may have many different challenges. You have a focus on the resources and potential in the candidate, and meet them with respect and genuine curiosity.

You thrive with having many collaborators and being proactive in different environments and networks. At the same time you manage to build trust and collaboration across professions and organizations.

Knowledge of labor market trends and the education system will be an advantage, so you can be a sparring partner for the candidate.

We work with case authority in the cash assistance area, so it is an advantage that you have experience with the legislation in the area.

You work methodically and result-oriented, but you are also not afraid to take initiative, think innovatively and find solutions when necessary.

If you have experience with the IPS method and experience with citizens with psychosocial challenges, that would also be an advantage, but the most important is that you are motivated to learn new things.

You must thrive in a job where there is self-directed working hours and a high degree of independence in planning your workday with a focus on creating results. You thrive with changing tasks during the day, many meetings outside our office and appointments that can fall late in the afternoon. However, no home-working days are offered.

That you can be persistent and a “bearer of hope” when the candidate may at times lose faith in themselves.

Relevant education within the social, pedagogical or humanities fields.

Most importantly, however, is your ability to “think outside the box,” and the desire and ability to create trust-based relationships with the candidates.

About the role as Ungeløft Consultant

• You meet the candidate at eye level and through the relationship with the candidate, you work to map, guide and enable their goals and dreams and help them find a path to education and work.
• To have an eye for solving possible challenges that hinder the path to work and education and the ability to support development
• To be physically present in psychiatry; F-ACT at Gl. Kongevej and OPUS in Rødovre.

• Handling of case authority in accordance with the Employment Act with a caseload of about 20-22 cases

About us You will become part of the Youth Unit in the Center for Employment and Citizens Service, where the IPS initiative is anchored. The IPS team is part of the Youth Unit in Hvidovre Municipality. We are based at Byvej 118.

You will join our IPS team. Our team is currently undergoing a transformation focusing on strengthening Hvidovre's overall IPS method and initiatives. Therefore you will help build a house and a cohesive team across the three initiatives. The team consists of 12 colleagues including the coordinator and team leader. You must therefore be prepared to help build a team and a house, as well as a work culture that supports team collaboration, shared results creation and the IPS method.

You report to the team leader Jasmin Umar in the Youth Unit in the Center for Employment and Citizens Service.

Salary and employment There is one permanent full-time position. Salary is determined according to the applicable collective agreement with the bargaining organization and your competencies in relation to the positions.

The positions are desired to be filled no later than January 1, 2027, preferably earlier.
