Vadum School seeks teacher, 37 hours, Danish and English as major subjects

Do you want to be part of the best team? 😊

Vadum School is seeking a permanent full-time teacher with Danish and English on the same track. Primarily for the 9th grade

Would you like to be part of a challenging and exciting environment where humor, high well-being and focus on a high academic standard are characteristic? Then you may be the right fit for us.

Vadum School and DUS are located in Vadum village, 10 km northwest of Aalborg. Vadum has an active local community, where the school and DUS have a close collaboration with an engaged parent group, other institutions and associations in the town.

Vadum School is an ambitious and well-functioning school with about 325 pupils and 50 committed staff.

We need an experienced teacher with Danish and English on the same track, who can lead the 9th grade to the exam this summer.

In addition to Danish and English, there are - for the remainder of the current school year - also music (6 lessons), physical education (4 lessons), biology (1 lesson) and geography (1 lesson) on the timetable.

It is an advantage if you can take on some or all of these lessons.

You will not be considered for the position if you are not a trained teacher.

In our pedagogical/didactic practice we are very focused on working with participatory didactics. It is important for us that we try to create participation opportunities for all children - both in our teaching and in everyday school life in general. At present we are practicing being sharp on varied teaching (the four learning processes from UDL) and engaging in this practice.

We would very much like you to be strong in classroom management and a close school-home collaboration, where you focus on maintaining close dialogue with the parents. You are structured and clear to the children about your expectations of them.

We expect that you

• Act clearly and properly in your dialogue – with colleagues, students and parents
• Appreciate close parent collaboration
• Are able to reflect pedagogically and didactically
• Can work based on our value foundation - A good place to be, a good place to learn.
