Shift Leaders for permanent positions at the AMK Emergency Dispatch Center in Næstved

Can you create calm, direction and an overview when things are moving fast? We are seeking duty managers who will stand centrally in the operational drift and contribute to high patient safety, quality and efficient use of resources.

The AMK Dispatch Center seeks engaged and proactive duty managers who can help support daily operational operations.

As a duty manager you will have a central role in the operational leadership of the AMK Dispatch Center. You create an overview, direction and calm in the daily operations and make the necessary operational decisions so that patient safety, quality and efficient resource use go hand in hand.

You will work closely with dispatchers, health professionals, physicians and other partners and contribute to safe and coherent operations, both in everyday life when workload is high and in special incidents.

The position is held in 12-hour day and night shifts with reference to the Section Leader Dispatch. You do not have personnel responsibility, but you exercise clear and presence-based operational leadership close to the operation.

As a duty manager you shall

• Ensure stable and efficient operation and optimal use of pre-hospital resources
• Coordinate staffing and prioritise resources according to the current workload
• Support patient safety, quality, service targets and applicable guidelines
• Identify and manage operational risks and urgent issues
• Be an operational sparring partner for staff and management
• Coordinate with internal and external partners in daily operations and during special incidents
• Support emergency response and ensure relevant logging and operational reporting
• Contribute to employee support, teaching, exercises and the development of the AMK Dispatch Center

Your profile

• Ideally have experience from AMK Dispatch Center, emergency services, police, fire or another operational function, but we also highly value your personal and relational competences

Employment terms

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can undergo security clearance, and that you can maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.

You are hired as a coordinator, and the employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for Duty Center staff 3243.

Interviews are expected to be conducted on 23 and 24 November 2026. Prior to interviews, tests will be used as part of the recruitment process.

Night work

Since the position may involve night work, you are offered a free health examination before starting in accordance with current rules.

Employment area

Starting salary for employees under the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base pay, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
