We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper for Østerly

We are seeking an experienced and independent bookkeeper who wants to become part of Østerly for many years to come.

A bit about Østerly

Østerly is a foundation-organized, nonprofit children’s and youth home on Lolland.

Since 2009, we have been working to create safe and stable environments for children and young people who, for various reasons, cannot live at home. We are a small organization with short decision-making paths, where integrity, responsibility and good relationships matter a lot.

Although you will primarily work with numbers, you will become an important part of the organization that every day works to make a difference for children and young people.

What will you do?

Your tasks will include, among others

• Ongoing bookkeeping in e-conomic
• Accounts payable and receivable bookkeeping
• Invoicing and bank reconciliations
• Handling receipts and petty cash
• Ongoing reconciliation of the accounts
• Preparation of material for the annual financial statements
• Contact and collaboration with our external auditor
• Payroll processing and submissions are handled by management, and we do not have VAT accounting.

Who are you?

• We are primarily looking for a person with solid bookkeeping experience who can work independently.
• You do not need a specific education. The most important thing is that you know your craft, are thorough, and understand how an accounting works together.
• We would very much like you to have experience with e-conomic, and that you can take responsibility for your tasks yourself.
• We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we expect that you have the experience and the desire to learn our way of doing things.

A job of a few hours with great flexibility

The position is approximately 2-4 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours in connection with, among other things, the year-end closing. A large part of the work can be done from home, and the working hours are arranged flexibly by agreement. However, there will also be a need for physical presence at Østerly, therefore you should live at a reasonable distance from us on Lolland.

Perhaps you already have a part-time job and would like some extra hours? Perhaps you are in a flex job, or perhaps you simply want a smaller job with great flexibility? We are open to different possibilities. For us, the most important thing is that we find the right person who is eager for a good and long-term collaboration.

You will receive a thorough handover from our current bookkeeper and the manager, so you get off to a good start.

Criminal background checks and child protection clearances will be obtained.

Salary is negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
