Temporary worker for blood draws, Slagelse Blood Bank

Healthcare professional for donor phlebotomy in Slagelse For our donor phlebotomy, we are seeking a nurse, a biomedical scientist or another relevant healthcare education. Your primary tasks will be whole blood collection and plasmapheresis of blood donors.

The position is a fixed-term full-time position with an average of 37 hours per week, starting 1 November 2026 or by agreement. The employment runs until June 2027.

Working hours

Working hours fall within the following time frames

• Monday to Thursday 7:30–15:30 or 12:30–20:30
• Friday 7:30–16:00

You should expect about two evening shifts per week.

• Are educated and authorized nurse or biomedical scientist or have another relevant healthcare education
• Would preferably have experience with tapping and/or apheresis of blood donors – this is not a requirement

• Are outgoing and positive and have good collaboration skills
• Can maintain an overview and provide good service – even when it is busy
• Work independently, in a structured and responsible manner

• Are engaged and motivated and actively contribute to a good working environment
• Have a flair for IT and are used to using a computer as a daily working tool
• Speak, read, write and understand Danish

About Clinical Immunology and the Blood Bank in Slagelse

The Blood Bank at Slagelse Hospital is part of Clinical Immunology, which is a shared regional organization with around 130 employees. The Clinical Immunology Department is part of Region Zealand University Hospital (ROHU). The main department is currently located in the Transfusion Center at Næstved Hospital.

The Transfusion Center handles the production of blood components, virus screening and immunological investigations. Specialty serology is performed at Zealand University Hospital in Køge, where other analyses and procedures are also planned to be consolidated.

The Slagelse department is staffed 24/7 every day of the week and serves the blood-consuming departments at Slagelse Hospital.

Donor phlebotomy and patient-related analyses are performed at the region's hospitals in Næstved, Køge, Holbæk, Nykøbing Falster, Roskilde and Slagelse. In addition, a portion of the region's blood donors are tapped in the mobile unit that operates throughout Region Zealand.

The department actively participates in the education of biomedical science students.

The department is accredited by DANAK according to DS/EN ISO 15189 and is inspected, among others, by the Danish Safety Authority under the Blood Supply Act and the Tissue Act.

Starting salary for employees under the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally determined allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
