About the job

Part-time position of approximately 10 hours per week in Sønderborg Municipality

We are looking for a warm, present, and engaged employee who wants to become an important part of the daily life of a lovely 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.

As an employee at Handicapkonsulenterne, your main task will be to provide the boy with good and safe moments – and at the same time give the family the respite they need.

It is a job for you who love children, want to use your professional skills in a more personal setting, and are motivated to make a concrete difference for a child and his family.

What does the job involve?

You will become part of a support team around the boy and work in the family's private home. The work includes, among other things, being with him, creating a safe environment and supporting him in daily life.

You work closely with the family, who will naturally provide thorough training so you feel confident in the task. You are not alone with the responsibility from day one.

The position is approximately 10 hours per week , primarily distributed over midday, afternoon, and evening hours.

There may also be opportunities for extra hours due to illness and holidays in the helper team, as well as occasional weekends, if you want and are able to do so.

Who are we looking for?

We imagine that you

  • are health-professionally trained or have relevant experience
  • want to work with children and people with disabilities
  • are caring, patient and present
  • are responsible and comfortable working in a private home
  • are proactive and eager to learn
  • are flexible and can join a team around the child

You do not necessarily need to be health-professionally trained. If you have relevant experience from the disability sector, pedagogical work, or working with children, we would love to hear from you.

What you get with us

You will have the opportunity to obtain a meaningful part-time job where the relationship with a child is at the center.

You will become part of a team around the boy and the family, and you will receive thorough training before you undertake the task independently.

It is also a position that can fit well for you if you are looking for fixed, manageable hours alongside study, other work, or other commitments.

Start: November 1 – preferably with training beforehand.

Does that sound like something for you?

We would love to hear from you.
