About the job

We are looking for three therapists: a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist for Fredensborg Municipality's temporary 24-hour care facilities, and a full-time physiotherapist for the Geriatric Team in The Outpatient Training.

With the implementation of the health reform and more complex rehabilitation tasks, Fredensborg Municipality is creating new therapeutic functions at the Temporary 24-hour care facilities. You will have the opportunity to be part of this development from the start and to leave your professional mark on the future of the close-by health service.

Therefore we are seeking a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist who will have permanent assignment to the municipality's Temporary 24-hour care facilities and at the same time become part of The Outpatient Training. In addition, we are seeking a full-time physiotherapist for the Geriatric Team in The Outpatient Training.

Here you will have the opportunity to help develop an important function in the transition between hospital, temporary stay and one's own home. You will become a central professional in the citizen’s rehabilitation process and work closely with therapists, care and health staff, citizens and relatives, as well as other multidisciplinary partners.

A daily life with broad professional breadth

In the temporary 24-hour care facilities, citizens typically come directly from hospital, their own home or municipal services and often have complex rehabilitation needs. You will meet citizens with neurological disorders, orthopedic surgical problems, medical conditions, functional loss, fall issues and multimorbidity.

The positions at the Temporary 24-hour care facilities combine tasks at the 24-hour care facilities with citizen pathways in the Geriatric Team in The Outpatient Training. You will therefore have a varied workday, where you use both your monodisciplinary competences and actively contribute to multidisciplinary, cohesive rehabilitation processes.

The physiotherapist position in the Geriatric Team primarily focuses on rehabilitation and reconditioning in citizens’ homes and at the municipality’s training centers.

You will be part of a close multidisciplinary collaboration between therapists, nurses, social and health assistants, case managers, and general practitioners.

Your main tasks

  • Assessment of the citizen's functional ability, resources and rehabilitation potential
  • Planning, conducting and following up on individual rehabilitation and reconditioning pathways
  • Development of goals and actions in close collaboration with the citizen and the multidisciplinary team
  • Documentation of professional assessments, goals and progression in the citizen's rehabilitation process
  • Guidance and sparring with staff on rehabilitative approaches, activity, mobility and transfers
  • Involvement and guidance of citizens and relatives
  • Rehabilitation and reconditioning tasks in the Geriatric Team, including tasks in the citizen's home and at the municipality's training centers

Particularly for physiotherapist

  • Physiotherapeutic assessment of movement function, balance, strength, mobility and gait
  • Training focusing on regaining or maintaining physical function and as much independence as possible
  • Assessment and instruction in relevant walking and training aids

Particularly for occupational therapist

  • Occupational therapy assessment focusing on activity, participation and mastery of daily life
  • ADL assessment
  • Assessment of need for aids, compensatory strategies and adaptation of the environment
  • Dysphagia assessment

We are looking for you who

  • Are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist
  • Have experience with or interest in geriatric rehabilitation and thrive working with a broad citizen group with different diagnoses, functional loss and rehabilitation needs
  • Work rehabilitatively and base your work on the citizen’s goals, resources and daily life
  • Can perform independent professional assessments while thriving in close multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Can maintain an overview in a daily life where citizens’ needs and tasks may change
  • Are professionally curious, development-oriented and eager to contribute to building the new function

Who are we?

The Outpatient Training consists of 45 employees distributed across several professional teams with occupational and physiotherapists, a development therapist, an administrative staff member and a governance unit that receives and distributes rehabilitation plans and other inquiries.

We work purposefully with rehabilitation, development and quality assurance based on the citizen’s goals, resources and daily life. With us you become part of a strong professional community where sparring, knowledge sharing and multidisciplinary cooperation are a natural part of everyday life.

Even though we are organized in professional teams, we solve tasks across disciplines and help each other in a changing daily life. We value professional curiosity, development and a work environment characterized by trust, engagement and good collegiality.

We offer

  • A newly created role where you will have the opportunity to influence workflows and the professional impact
  • A strong professional and collegial community
  • Flexitime arrangement and a high degree of self-governance within the department’s framework
  • An employer environment characterized by trust, responsibility and high professional standards
  • Close multidisciplinary collaboration and access to professional sparring
  • A varied workday with meaningful and complex citizen pathways
  • Great independence and responsibility in planning tasks
  • Focus on professional development, work environment and well-being
  • A thorough and individually tailored introduction to the tasks
