About the job

We are seeking a cross-functional Learning and Education Lead Nurse for the Gynecology and Maternity Ward beds as well as the Gynecology Outpatient Clinic, as our current one has just been appointed Chief Nurse of the inpatient ward.

Are you passionate about a strong learning environment, pedagogical development, and clinical supervision? Do you want to help ensure that our nursing students, midwifery students, and social and health care assistant students receive a training program of the highest quality? Then you are exactly who we are looking for as our new Learning and Education Lead Nurse (LU).

In this position you will have the overall responsibility to frame, coordinate and develop the department's education efforts, while supporting our clinical supervisors in daily practice. The position is a combined role, where your time is split between dedicated education work and clinical practice.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility in the Gynecology and Maternity Ward beds as well as the Gynecology Outpatient Clinic will be:

  • Educational responsibility: You have the overall responsibility for the clinical teaching environment, including planning, coordinating and evaluating programs for nursing students, midwifery students, and SSA (social and health care assistant) students.
  • Pedagogical sparring: You act as a mentor and professional sparring partner for the department's clinical supervisors and ensure consistent quality in the supervision.
  • Collaboration with educational institutions: You are the department's primary link to universities and SOSU schools, and you actively participate in cross-departmental education networks.
  • Clinical nursing: You maintain a connection to the clinical daily life, which gives you the best preconditions to connect theory and practice for the students. Your clinical hours will take place either in the Gynecology and Maternity Ward beds or in the Gynecology Outpatient Clinic, depending on your competencies.

We envision that you

  • Are a trained nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience. The specialty is not decisive, but it may be advantageous to have knowledge of surgical nursing.
  • Have a clinical supervisor education and preferably a pedagogical diploma education – or are eager to start it.
  • Have experience with and a heart for students and trainees in clinical practice.
  • Communicate in an appreciative manner and are able to create relationships and inspire and motivate those around you.
  • Are development-oriented and can translate educational frameworks into pedagogical learning activities in a busy everyday life.
  • There is great freedom to plan and structure tasks as LU. Therefore you must be able to work in a structured and independent way.
  • Can see the benefit of a split role between educational work and clinical work.
  • Can connect our outpatient clinic and inpatient ward together around the education task.
  • Can actively contribute to an inspiring, developing and appreciative educational environment through close collaboration with the mentoring team in both departments.
  • Is an engaged role model who, with professionalism, presence and clarity, inspires and supports the students in their development.

What can we offer you?

  • A central and responsible key role with a strong influence on the department's education culture.
  • A close and supportive collaboration with management, clinical supervisors and the other nurses and midwife colleagues.
  • Fixed administrative hours allocated to your educational tasks (about 2 days per week. Deviations in the summer may occur).
  • Clinical time will be based on your competencies. In our inpatient ward it will likely involve weekend work every 6th weekend and predominantly day shifts on weekdays (deviations in the summer may occur).
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development as well as a mentor.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent appointment of 37 hours per week (or as agreed – but at least 32 hours) with start on 01-12-2026 (or as agreed).

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Danish Nurses Organization (DSR) and
