About the job

Would you like to help create new opportunities for citizens with acquired brain injury, concussion, or neurological disorders? Do you have experience with work rehabilitation and an eye for both the citizen's resources and the needs of employers? Then you may be the colleague we are looking for.

The position is 30 hours per week with commencement on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

About us

The position is anchored in Citizens’ Service in Allerød Municipality. Here we handle both classic service tasks such as issuing passports and driving licenses and complex interventions in the specialized child and adult area as well as in the employment and integration area. Citizens’ Service consists of about 200 employees distributed at the town hall and in an external performing unit.

We have a holistic view of citizens' life situations and work to create coherent initiatives based on the citizen's own wishes, resources and challenges. The goal is to support the citizen in mastering everyday life with family, education, work and leisure.

We have a special focus on the approach “One family/citizen – one entry point and one plan.” This means that citizens with complex problems get a coordinator who collects all plans and interventions across the administration in one common plan developed in close cooperation with the citizen.

In the brain injury area we have for several years built up a strong multidisciplinary effort focusing on supporting citizens' opportunities to live an independent and meaningful life. Labor market attachment is for many citizens an important part of rehabilitation, and therefore we now seek a corporate consultant for rehabilitation and employer-oriented interventions, who can strengthen the effort in the transition between everyday life and working life.

About the position

Your primary target group is citizens with acquired brain injury, concussion/whiplash and progressive neurological disorders.

Your main task will be, in collaboration with the neuroprofessional team, to support citizens' path back to working life through a targeted and individually tailored work rehabilitation effort.

Your tasks will among others include

  • Identify the citizen's resources, functional ability and opportunities with regard to the labor market
  • Assess the need for further assessment and intervention (e.g., doctor, physiotherapist, neuro-optometrist)
  • Make relevant observations in relation to Comorbidity
  • Establish and follow up on company internships and other employer-directed programs
  • Support the citizen's development of strategies to handle cognitive, physical and mental challenges in everyday and working life.
  • Facilitate a gradual ramping up of working hours with due regard to the citizen's avoidance considerations
  • Coordinate efforts between the citizen, the workplace, the health area and other partners
  • Advise companies on accommodation considerations, support needs and possibilities for retention
  • Contribute to clarification of work capacity and employment perspectives
  • Participate in the development of Allerød Municipality's overall effort in the brain injury area.

You will be part of Job and Company Service, which consists of 18 dedicated employees, and you will collaborate with among others brain injury coordinators, neurofaglige therapists, neurofaglige mentors, social- and employment-related staff as well as a neuropsychologist and the other 4 corporate consultants.

About you

We imagine you have a relevant professional background, for example as an occupational or physiotherapist or similar.

The most important for us is that you

  • Have knowledge of neuroprofessional evidence as well as what is considered good practice within neuroprofessional rehabilitation
  • Have knowledge of and experience with work rehabilitation and employer-directed interventions
  • Have knowledge of or experience with citizens with acquired brain injury, concussion or neurological disorders including their impact on work capacity
  • Have the ability to engage in a thorough analysis of the citizen's difficulties and resources in collaboration with a neuropsychologist and other partners
  • Can create good relationships with both citizens and companies
  • Work in a holistic manner and see opportunities rather than limitations
  • Can take on a coordinating role with many partners
  • Have good communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Can work independently, structured and goal-oriented
  • Have a driver's license.
