Growing private home care in Hillerød seeks a manager with experience in home care

Omsorg Sjælland is seeking an engaged experienced area leader with a nursing background for our newly established department in Hillerød.

The department in Hillerød is new, but Omsorg Sjælland is not. We have been on the market since 2011 and deliver home care in seven municipalities on Zealand. You will therefore become part of an established organization with solid structures, strong values and experienced leadership colleagues. You will have an outstanding opportunity to make your mark on a completely new Hillerød department from the start.

We started in Hillerød in November 2025 and are already in rapid development. More and more citizens choose Omsorg Sjælland, and therefore we now seek the right area leader who is driven by developing, building up and leading a newly started department.

About the position

As area leader you will have a central role in the development and operation of the department. You should thrive being close to both citizens and staff and be eager to take part in home visits yourself, especially in the startup phase, where presence, familiarity and flexibility are important.

You will lead a team of permanent staff who are skilled and educated, who are ready and waiting for a leader. There are therapist competencies attached to the department, and we provide holistic care according to the new Elderly Care Act and several delegated nursing tasks. You will collaborate and develop the relational cooperation with the municipality's partners in the elderly care sector.

Management community and support

You are not alone. As area leader at Omsorg Sjælland you become part of a strong leadership community across the departments in the seven municipalities we operate in.

• You will get leadership colleagues with whom you can share experiences and brainstorm together
• As part of your introduction you will be assigned a mentor
• Our two operations managers and area therapist work across departments and provide ongoing sparring and support

Your tasks will include

• Leadership and development of staff in the field-based private home care
• Daily professional sparring and quality assurance of care
• Participation in client visits and client follow-up
• Collaboration with the municipality's home care and other partners in the municipality
• Building structures and workflows in a new department
• Close collaboration with area leaders, department heads and other leaders

We expect that you

• Are a trained nurse
• Have experience from field-based home care
• Have a desire to lead – preferably with experience in personnel management
• Thrives in a daily life with development, responsibility and change
• Work in a structured way with high professionalism focusing on relational collaboration
• Put the citizen at the centre and value presence and quality
