About the job

Create an overview, strengthen the team and get the goods to production at the right time

Do you want to lead a small warehouse team and have a hand in operations? At Danhydra you will have the opportunity to influence the warehouse's workflows and create strong collaboration to deliver on time. Your effort makes a concrete difference: Production must have the right goods ready when work is to begin.

Your day-to-day and your responsibilities

As warehouse manager you will be responsible for the warehouse, transport/logistics and the personnel responsibility for four permanent employees, supplemented with a few temporary workers during peak season. You report to the COO and work closely with the global purchasing function (India, Spain and Denmark), planning, production and quality. You allocate tasks, develop the employees and participate yourself in the operational tasks in the warehouse. This gives you insight into what works and where improvements are needed.

Your main tasks will be to

  • Prioritize today's work based on picking orders and on the basis of the daily board meeting with production and planning. In the board meeting the day's focus and challenges are reviewed with the aim of ensuring that the goods are ready for the agreed production start
  • Create fixed routines and discipline for goods receipt, inspection and ongoing recording, so stock levels and warehouse locations align with Business Central
  • Follow up on missing inbound deliveries together with purchasing and ensure that backorders are quickly delivered to production when rush items and back deliveries arrive
  • Ensure competence flexibility among permanent employees and determine which tasks are suitable for temporary workers, so tasks can be completed with minimal onboarding
  • Improve material flow and workflows
  • Lead based on relevant key figures including on-time delivery adherence, warehouse accuracy and the time from goods receipt to the item being ready in the warehouse

You succeed when the team takes joint responsibility for timely delivery, and production can count on the warehouse. When something goes wrong, you bring the right colleagues in on the solution and ensure that you learn from it. You maintain safety, quality and good routines, even on difficult days.

What you need for the job

Your experience with warehouse operations including goods receipt, registrations and picking processes gives you a solid foundation to lead daily operations. You also have experience with people management and can set direction, prioritise and follow up. With energy, clear communication and attention to the individual you create cohesion and belief that tasks can be solved.

You thrive on taking the initiative yourself and can translate what you experience in operations into better workflows. Experience with technical products from an international manufacturing or project company is an advantage. You may also come from a logistics company or a similar environment with changing needs and high demands for precision.

You are accustomed to ERP and warehouse registrations. Danhydra uses Microsoft Business Central and the warehouse uses barcodes, so familiarity with this will help you get started. If you also have experience with transport, freight prices and Incoterms, you can use it to assess transport solutions including distribution of responsibility, costs and risk.

Become a part of Danhydra

Danhydra is a specialized supplier to the global wind industry focusing on development, manufacture and service of special tools for installation and service of wind turbines. There are 160 great colleagues, half of whom work in Denmark and the rest in the companies in Germany, USA, Spain, India and Australia. Here you will be part of an international company with an important role in daily operations.

Your base is at the warehouse on Lollandsvej in Herning, but you also work at the warehouse on Mørupvej in Herning about one day a week. The position is full-time and you will be employed on executive (white-collar) terms with expected starting date February 1, 2027.
