We are looking for an ambitious team leader with management experience for the Education Department

Professional Quality and Learning consists, in addition to the staff in the Education Department, as of 1 November 2026 of dementia, quality and development consultants, development nurses, nursing specialists within continence, palliation, psychiatry and wounds. It is a department with about 55 employees.

You will become a management colleague with the head of Dementia and Dignity Technology and a team leader in Professional Quality and Learning, which reports to the head of Professional Quality and Learning.

About the Education Department

The department is part of the cross-disciplinary unit in the Senior, Health and Leisure Administration, where as of 1 November 2026 there is an organizational change that places it under Professional Quality and Learning.

The department consists of

• Staff: 1 administrative employee, 1 recruitment employee, 4 education consultants, 1 support and language mentor.
• Tasks in the Education Department: recruitment, onboarding, guidance, action plans, teaching, pedagogical development, cross-disciplinary coordination and special pedagogical support.
• Vision: “Self-worth and Coherence” based on the Citizen’s Center and the five rules of conduct.

There are the following programs

• 48 nursing assistant (SSH) and 90 social and healthcare assistant (SSA) students are employed annually (about 200 ongoing programs).
• Approximately 95 nursing students in clinical practice per year.
• 3-5 international students in practice per year in shorter or longer programs.
• 30 young “Hand-in-Hand” leisure jobbers and 2 nutrition assistant students in practice.

• lead and inspire a well-functioning team of permanent staff, consisting of education consultants, administrative staff, support and language mentors, and a recruitment employee?
• play a key role in ensuring that the municipality can educate health professionals who will be in demand in the future?
• thrive in a daily life with many contact interfaces, stakeholders and collaborators?
• recruit continuously and create optimal conditions for SOSU students and nursing students?
• apply your experience with personnel management and personnel law in complex situations?
• ensure action competence among clinical supervisors and training supervisors by creating a positive learning environment for SOSU students as well as nursing students?

Your tasks

• Management and operations responsibility for the department’s employees in collaboration with the head of Professional Quality and Learning.
• Shared responsibility for SOSU students and nursing students’ retention, attendance and sickness absence.
• Operational and employment-law tasks in collaboration with the HR department, internal and external partners.
• Financial shared responsibility in close collaboration with the head of Professional Quality and Learning.
• Develop the education area so that Kolding Municipality becomes a leading place for diversity, talent, competence development and quality.
• Participation in various cooperation forums around SOSU- and nurse education, job center and network groups across municipalities.
• Manage health and absence interviews with SOSU students.

The appointment

• The position is intended to be filled by 1 January 2027 or earlier.
• Total weekly working time: 37 hours with no overtimes.
• Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.
• It is expected that you have a driving license category B, as the work will also take place outside the building.
