We are seeking occupational therapists for permanent positions in neurorehabilitation for 24-hour rehabilitation, Horsens, at Hammel Neurocenter, Regional Hospital

We are in the middle of an exciting development. In accordance with the Health Reform, the specialized area is transferred from the municipality to the region as of January 1, 2027. This means that you will become part of an organization in change – with the opportunity to shape your professional impact, contribute to the development of rehabilitation at a specialized level, and be part of an important journey for citizens, employees and partners.

Who are we?

In rehabilitation, we work towards the individual citizen becoming active and participating in their future life based on their own resources, wishes and needs – and in close collaboration with relatives. You will become part of a dynamic, engaged and multidisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social and health care assistants, a neuropsychologist, a speech therapist and a chief physician.

We work purposefully and specialized with rehabilitation plans for the individual citizen and focus on supporting citizens to become active participants in their own lives.

Your duties

The tasks are assessment and rehabilitation of citizens with acquired brain injury, who can have physical and cognitive consequences after their brain injury. We also have a strong focus on interprofessional and cross-sector collaboration.

• Assessment and rehabilitation of citizens with complex physical and cognitive consequences after acquired brain injury.
• Drafting and ongoing adjustment of individual rehabilitation plans based on the citizen's resources and goals.
• Close collaboration with the citizen and relatives throughout the entire process.
• Active participation in interprofessional and cross-sector collaboration for a good citizen journey.

About you

We are looking for you who

• Are professionally engaged, curious and want to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex issues in a rehabilitative everyday life.
• Are interested in, and preferably have experience with, neurorehabilitation as well as complex processes.
• See neuro-pedagogical strategies as a natural part of the task.
• Have good collaboration skills, thrive in team work, seek sparring and value interprofessional collaboration.
• Are proactive and able to plan and prioritize your own tasks independently.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing and thrive in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
• Move effortlessly between monofaceted and multidisciplinary tasks, also when daily life requires rapid shifts. At the same time, you actively contribute to a good working environment together with your multidisciplinary colleagues.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but not a requirement, as rehabilitation for some citizens will also take place in the citizen's own home.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field.

With reference to the Child Disclosure Act in connection with the employment of personnel, a child–abuse clearance will be obtained in connection with potential employment.

Employment is with Region Midtjylland with service initially at Hospitals Unit Midt, Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital.

About Day Rehabilitation, Horsens under Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital

Vital Horsens temporary rehabilitation places will change name on January 1, 2027 to Day Rehabilitation-Horsens, and thus become part of Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital – West Denmark’s highly specialized hospital within neurorehabilitation.

From January 1, 2027 there will be 10 day rehabilitation places and up to 6 citizens who live at home and alternatively come to Day Rehabilitation-Horsens to receive day rehabilitation and receive rehabilitation at home. We work with citizens after discharge from hospital, where the length of stay depends on each citizen's development potential – typically a three-month program.
