Weekend shifts wanted at Dalum Agricultural School, Korinth Department

Are you passionate about working with people? Are you good at relationship-building, proactive, and able to create a safe environment for young students? Then this part-time job may be for you. We are seeking engaged staff for weekend shifts in the school's boarding school environment. You will be part of a strong team that ensures well-being, safety and a good sense of community for our students aged 15-19.

About the job

• You join a duty team where, in rotation, weekends are covered as well as some holiday and sick day shifts or other forms of relief for the boarding school assistant. Therefore it is important that you can also cover weekday evenings.
• The work includes fixed routine tasks at the boarding school, such as:
• Assist with the prepared meals together with the students.
• Supervision of the school's animals together with the students who are on weekend duty.
• Close the school in the evening.
• Always be available for a good chat or another activity with the students.
• To be a role model and a good example.
• To be welcoming and open to guests as well as prospective students, as events such as open houses and experience days can occur on weekends.

Shifts

• Weekend shifts: From Friday 13:00 to Monday 06:30. A weekend equals 37 hours and 3 overnight stays. Weekday evenings: From 15:30/after agreement and until the next morning at 7:30/after agreement.
• You can expect 1 weekend shift per month, with a small possibility for more.
• The boarding school assistant plans half a year ahead, so your shifts can be viewed well in advance.
• Workplace: Dalum Agricultural School, Corinth Department, Spanget 7, 5600 Faaborg.
• As we are a school, there will be no shifts during holiday periods.

We are looking for someone who

• Is responsible, mature and good at establishing contact with young people.
• Stands by decisions and is good at reading situations.
• Thrives in a team and contributes with initiative and engagement.
• Ideally has pedagogical or vocational experience (not a requirement).

Dalum Agricultural School is one of Denmark's largest agricultural schools with departments in Odense and Korinth.
