Job Description

Do you want to be a key person in complex industrial and life science projects and drive cross-disciplinary construction deliveries from idea to final solution?

AFRY Industry Buildings provides services within design and construction of facilities that support industrial processes such as manufacturing, processing, storage or research. We prioritise Life Science, dairy, food, ingredients and defence sectors.

As Work Package Owner (WPO) within construction you will take a central role in planning, coordinating and delivering work packages across complex projects. You ensure coherence between disciplines and contribute to the project’s goals for quality, time and cost.

Your responsibilities will include

• Ensure technical quality, progress and delivery of work packages within construction.
• Coordinate activities between structural engineers, BIM designers and other project members.
• Handle technical clarifications and ensure documented interfaces between disciplines.
• Ensure design solutions support requirements for functionality, safety, economy and constructability.
• Contribute to planning, resource coordination and management of deliveries across the project organisation.

In this role you will work closely with customers, consultants, contractors and internal specialists, where your ability to create overview and structure becomes decisive for project success.

Qualifications

You are an experienced structural engineer with coordination skills and proven experience from complex building and construction projects. You thrive with responsibility and delivering progress. Your background may include

• Education as civil engineer or Diploma engineer with specialization in structures.
• Experience with design of steel, concrete and prefabricated structures.
• Experience with leadership and coordination of construction deliveries in complex projects.
• Solid understanding of the interplay between structures, installations and industrial processes.
• Experience with quality assurance, design reviews and technical risk management.

Additionally you are a strong partner who is motivated by bringing people and disciplines together around common goals. You are able to translate complex technical problems into practical and buildable solutions.
