About the task

You will become part of a stable team around a 13-year-old boy with autism and significant functional impairments. He is very active and thrives best in the company of caring adults who can create clear frameworks and closely accompany him in the activities. He loves solving puzzles, watching YouTube and going for walks to local playgrounds.

The boy is nonverbal, but understands both Danish and Turkish and expresses himself through pictograms and pictures. When you are out, you must constantly keep your attention directed at him, as he may suddenly run away or move out into the road.

There is a need for help with personal care, as he uses diapers.

You can easily reach the family's home by public transport. The family lives about a 15-minute walk from Taastrup Station, and there are also bus connections close to the home.

About you

You are educated as a pedagogue or unskilled with relevant experience with children or youths with autism. You work in a structured way, are physically active and can be present and attentive in the company of the boy.

It is important that you do not have pets at home, as the family is allergic.

If you are a skilled worker, you are paid according to your education.

Working hours

The position is 20 - 24 hours per week.

The working hours consist of

• A weekday shift from 14:00 to 09:00 the next morning (19 hours)
• A weekend shift from 12:00 to 09:00 the next morning (21 hours)
• In addition, 3-4 flexible hours per week, planned in collaboration with the family.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the citizen's own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work-related accident insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.

You will receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling - and you will not be able to avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
